Pro Supex Blue Gear Question...

i just bought a couple packs of blue gear are am very interested in stringing them soon. everyone talks about how wonderful they are but... always fail to mention what their bed is like..

anyways.. if u have ever played with blue gear.. can u please let me know how u had it done??

what string did u have on the mains? what string did u have on the crosses? what tension did u have for mains? what tension did u have for crosses? what did u wish u changed after u tried ur set up?

you have your bluegear going vertically for spin and have something softer for horizontally to balance each other out.

i would go with a softer syn gut for crosses, maybe pro supex titan, forten sweet, or PSG no duraflex

i put in full job of blue gear at 58lbs. its so stiff, but now its loosened up a bit i think. at my level i dont think it makes that much of a difference, but i like to swing, and...ok i cant keep my balls in. haha. but its a nice string try it out

why would u say that ag200??? does it plaY really stiff?? maybe ill do a gosen og sheep then instead..

I put a full set of Blue Gear in one of my Pro Ones @ 64 lbs. Had to take the most hellish swings to get the ball over the net! I like tighter set ups, but this was too much...as a reference, in college, I used to string my NCode Tour 90s with 16g Kevlar and 15g syn gut at 70 lbs. I would suggest a soft synthetic cross as well like OG Micro.

dats why u soften them up, same with my pro supex premier ace SUPER Stiff. so im getting SG to soften them up

Blue Gear is soft compared to PHT and ALU but stiff compared to Big Ace, TCS, etc.

I would try a blue gear with any syn gut or even with other soft poly like a big ace, cyber blue or polyfibre (any) .
You'll get amazing pop with great spin. Some top jr plays with this kind of set up.
