No worries Xisbum...I read your comment correctly! What I know of RTA I know from limited experience and also what others told me, so I was also somewhat surprised by Sup's response...it isn't ACTA's fault that some many....emmm...'colorful' people sign up to be members!!!
*AWAY*!!!
Sorry to hear you are depressed.
Who, other than JRK, has had a bad playing experience in ACTA? I know I've never said anything like that.
I'll type it slowly to mimic me saying it slowly.
If you read the majority of posts.. repeat post.. regarding ACTA.. it makes one who knows RTA appreciate it more. Why? The characters, the facilities, the league captains, the scheduling (a freaking outdoor tournament in Nov? Thats ACTA right?).. and so forth.
Not that ACTA is bad, its tennis so its worth it. Yet if you hear TheJRK talk about captains, Vitaly talk about hackers, Others talk about the courts ACTA uses, the level of play/rating flux and now the tournament sign up. It kind of sounds bad.
Now you can argue its the peeps in the association not the association itself. Thats laughable, as its the players and organizers that make the experience. Yet again I repeat, all I know is what i see on posts and its mainly NEGATIVE. Hence it makes RTA, which may be expensive, look much better.
Again.. I repeat. It's tennis. So both are better than nothing. Yet the posts don't make it sound better or even with the RTA.
I know Big Frank plays at ACTA cause its convenient with where he works. Yet he says, its not RTA and he talks bluntly about the problems and level of play. Also 2 other USTA tournament players I know complain constantly about ACTA that they wish they could get into something like the RTA or just end up driving out to FRC to get something a little bit better. I'm not a huge fan of RTA, but if I had to chose by feedback, it would win out for
me.
Again.. *A theme*. Its all based on the posts. The posts I see don't show a lot of good, unless you call playing at WHS with hackers fun or playing in disorganized teams within ACTA that causes stress. *shrug*. To each their own.
Now to the Cliff Notes:
-People seem to posts about crazy experiences with ACTA that don't give it a good light.
-RTA is not the best, but for someone like me who knows ACTA only by the posts here... I will pick RTA.
-Sup doesn't think RTA is perfect.
-Sup misses Xisbum in the clinics
-Sup still thinks Shcmad hits with moderate (shank) to no spin.
That is all
Sup
Happy Halloween!
