Thanks for the info just found it on SDP. Don't think they'll bother with free samples as it's only $2.99? I'm going to buy some sets pretty soon to try.:)

I have it strung up in a MGPP as crosses with Red Code Mains which is very similar to my normal set up of Red Code mains with spiral flex crosses. I find the FT rough to be a little crisper than spiral flex and it seems to move more too. So far I have only hit with it 2 times for about 3hrs. of hitting time. Tension seems to maintain about the same possibly a small amount better than spiral flex but it's hard to tell as it is moving around more even when fresh. Overall I don't find it to be any big deal and will stick with Spiral Flex. If I had to compare I'd say it's similar to PSGD but better. Just not really my cup of tea.

Is it hard, slick, and too mobile like PSGD.
No it's not as hard or slick as PSGD but a bit too mobile IMO and plays about as stiff even though it doesn't feel it to the touch. It's not a horrible string by any measure just nothing really exceptional about it.

Personally this is probably my favorite string in the $3 range. i've tried Forten Sweet and Gosen Micro. But somehow I thought this has alittle more crispness compared to the other strings. Kept tension pretty well as well. It only lasts 8 hours, but I never complain about changing up strings when there's only $3 a pop.

eG,

This thread has been dead for almost 2years. Generally it's not worth reviving the dead stuff. I'm a fan of playing Necromancers in RPG's though.

I know, the thread is dead, but FT Ruff lives on... I can't really find a better crisp syn gut for around $3. Just want to see if there are other strings similar since the 2 years has pass?

I'm not so sure. I for one, have never heard of this string before now I'm intrigued to try it. Stiffish, crisp, hopefully not overpowered, probably some spin, bargain price....what's there not to like? Only issue seems to be availability.

It's got alittle power but it's DEFINITELY not mushy. Very crisp, retains tension pretty well, and gives great feedback for a $3 string. Only complaint is that it snaps relatively quickly (at least the 17g's anyways). Go on the bay to find.

Well if you like it, 3 bucks is real good. Genesis has a tourny nylon that I'm tempted to try. I think it's like 20 bucks a real. Wonder if that is decent.

As for Pro Supex, I really enjoy their Syngut w/spiral flex. In real form it's about the same price.
