Hey guysss, I feel like i've been so isolated from TWMAC. Now that i'm not at school I hardly have time to keep up with the fast paced thread!
However, I am in the area all the time folks :). I live in Arlington down the road from JRK. I need to play alot alot more tennis this summer. If anyone wants to play I can play almost any weekend, and weeknights though I am never sure what time I get off work.
Additionally, Next week I have the whole week off, so I would be down to play some high quality tennis!

Just ordered large order from TW so I have string since I broke 3 sets of string in past week. (and some nike gear Sup).

Also, Shcmad since you are still jetlagged and difficult to get ahold of, hit me up whenever you wanna hit this week. I have vehicular transportation.

I had a good match and a good win tonight. (Team lost 1-4 though) Playing a lefty on the slick courts of the 4 Seasons.

He opted to serve first. I had a couple of ad-out's but I kept coughing up errors on his lefty serve to my backhand. He held. I held my serve pretty easily.

About 6 games in, I realized I won more points on his serve if I simply got the ball in play and it was deep - no need to hit any screaming shots - just high, deep, an in. Did that and I got the break. I won that set 6-4.

Started the next set off by breaking him. I held then Broke again. He never broke my serve. Won the second set 6-3...... Frak!! I must have been dazed. I reported the score 6-4, 6-4...... oh well. A win is a win.

Best shot of the match. I hit a short ball and he goes DTL to my back hand. I do a Monfils sprawl and slide - hit a lunging, no-look, backhand stab that ended up as a deep lob. (I thought that ball was going to land in Kansas - had no idea where it what going when I hit it). I waited for him to smash it... and he netted the ball.

^who is this PurePrestige guy butting in our thread? oh i remember him now. i am hitting friday at quincy park if you wanna meet up

good win JRS! i dont see you doing the monfils, but i love those kind of shots too-when you just barely get to the ball and take a stab at it, not even knowing what shot it is...and win the point.

Nice win JRS!

PP - If you ever want to hit, let me know... then I got some drinks for you to try, haha.

I had a nice match myself tonight. Tried to play my new Patrick Rafter style tennis that we practiced in Sup's clinic last Thursday. What a difference, I won 6-1, 6-2 when I normally lose to this guy 1-6, 1-6. My kick serve was extra nasty. Three times I aced him with a kicker from the ad side. I was able to get it to jump up and to his left, it hit the fence before he could get to it.

JRK, lemme know what your schedule is like and when you'd like to hit, i'm pretty flexible, so long as its night or weekend :)
I usually hit at those lighted courts on the other side of the parking garage from that community center. Hope you know what i'm talking about. But you have courts at your place as well I believe, we should definitely get out for a hit sometime this week.

isn't it pretty obvious i'm a member of the mid atlatic cosplay chapter? my dress up character is normally a serial eater but i've been known to go picachu every once in a blue moon

wookie -- nice win bro. figure you're 7-4 in 3.5 singles this year in your league and shiloh tourney. so you're winning nearly twice as many matches as you lose = woot.

sappy -- so you went up to chicago to attend a comic/manga convention? sadly i recognize most of your friends in costume but i can't tell what you're dressed up as. oh wait . . . i got it.

JRprostaf -- my sister and her kids are staying with me this week so i likely won't be able to sneak out and hit this week . . . . but i'm working on it. i am slowly trying to convince the wife that i am completely unnecessary at home and/or make it so she doesn't want me at home. it's a work in progress. alice301 is telling me to prebook a spot in the thursday drill if i have any intention at all of going. i'll let you guys know if i plan on going.

currently watching del potro vs clement. it looks like me playing a match versus JRK. in fact JRK sorta looks like an even skinnier version of del potro.

also a flash from the past -- kimiko date -- who is now kimiko date krumm (krummy date?) is giving caroline wozniacki all she can handle. go tiny asian woman go.

Rock on JRK - I've got to see this new and improved JRK serve - gotta be nasty.

Thanks TFM - This year has been pretty good. We were up against a fairly strong team last night too.

So when is your next match??

Wimby comentators are drinking the Andy Murray kool-aid - talking about how his game is even more beautiful than Fed's and all the variety in his game and that's why he has a winning record against Fed. Yeah, Murray's great, but he's got a way to go.

not entirely impossible and fun to do... well long as you don't snap an ankle :)

Let's call it - a skid. Tried to come to a stop, and it took me a bit of time. LOL!

I swear they grease those 4 season courts. Very fast. It's like concrete with a little paint on the top.

Sounds good, keep me posted.

I'm taking advantage of my "work from home" status today and multitasking while watching the murray/kendrick match right now. Robbie's looking a little streaky but he's hitting his forehand really well. I could get used to this... well for the next 2 weeks anyways and then again in August for the Open!

ah yes... 4 seasons. definitly a good albeit slick facility. granted they are no where near as fast as the courts over @ Worldgate S&H in Herndon. I swear they up and buff those courts on a regular basis!

What happens if Murray loses in the first round?

Do they take away all his kilts? Take him to the dentist? Make him speak with a American accent? Lock him in the Tower of London???? Serve as Henman's houseboy???? ;)

Fortunatly for him (unfortuantly for Kendrick) he made it through to the second round. Otherwise he might blame the fitted shorts from Fred Perry!

waiting for the sharapova/dulko match to finish so i can see federer play was painful. almost seemed ridiculous to watch her get so fricking nervous closing out the match. lame.

on the plus side both players are fairly easy on the eyes -- provided you turn down the audio while they play.

zap -- what kind of work do you do? it's not really a fair trade though because you would have to deal with the idiots known as sapient007 and JRstreaker. how about i throw some cash and a first round pick in the NBA draft?

LEGG MASON NEWS. looks like a really strong field and new players for this year's legg mason. TWMAC must represent.
