Are we talking like tennis fast or fast in a straight line? Nadal is probably the quickest, ie gets to the most balls. Fastest in a straight line? Probably one of the short scramblers.

Federer faster than Nadal?!

Yes. The thing about Federer is, he can be amazingly fast and determined, but on most points he doesn't do a lot of running around like Nadal does, because he doesn't want to tire himself out, and he doesn't need to that often because of his aggressive game. However, he can often chase down incredible shots and this seems almost inhumane. He actually might be faster than Monfils, but he just doesn't do this all the time

Yeah, Phau is one of the quickest, if not the quickest, player on the tour these days. That lil' dude can run.

Can't really choose but the only real choices here are Nadal and Monfils.Sure guys like chang/phau are fast but those guys are small.Nadal/Monfils move very fast for their height and weight.I remember what Stefanki said about Nadal, that he is a big bodied borg and how hiw footspeed is phenomenal for his size. For example,Rafa moves faster than other guys his height, even though Rafa has a stockier, heavier build.Monfils has great speed, but not great footwork. The guy can sprint like nobody's business but I have seen him arrive late on normal balls because he didn't step well around the court.

Ok, I'll admit I'm in the dark about this one then. I don't watch Monfils a lot, so maybe that's why I've never seen him chase down something that impressively, but from what I've seen, I think Nadal wins hands down. Obviously though Monfils is really fast as well though... could somebody show me a clip of him being fast?
