Fed: Two Out Of Four...Ain't Bad

Just as Fed says... can't win all of them...but 2 out the 4 majors is great. He smashed some records this year that will not be broken for a long, long time. I have to laugh when it is a MAJOR deal when someone else besides him wins a major. That's the kind of hold he has on professional tennis. Even when his 1st serve was nowhere to be found, he was still only a few points from taking control of the match. He is so great that most of his fans don't really have to go to the extreme to defend his shortcomings. The reason...we know that in the next major, Roger Federer will be the man to beat. Not Nadal, not Djokovic, not Murray, not even the US Open Champion Del Potro. It'll be Fed again doing his thing. So I tip my beer glass and drink to Roger....thanks for the excitement...a great year.

I think that winning 2 out of 4 is a terrible record,Fed should retire and save himself. j/k.

I agree,it has been a great year for Fed.USO would have been icing on the cake but in the end it wasn't meant to be thanks to a certain young Argie's atomic FHs.

Roddick and Delpo have been swapping the number five ranking for a couple months now. Roddick is at least as much of a top player as Del Potro.

And remember, the two he lost went to 5 sets......so its not like he was run over by a bus.

If i had a season like Fed's 2009, it would be the best year of my life. Probably.

If I played a couple of points like him , it would be the best year of my life :)

(the point to break Del potro in the first set, and the tweener against Novak)
