Stringing for LOOOONG durability

Ill be stringing for one of my hitting partners sons this weekend and he is looking for ultra durability and longevity, he said the last sting job lasted 4 years!
Im tempted to use ProBlund with Kevlar mains but would prefer a Syngut. Dont really want to give him poly either.

Here is what i have in stock:
Gosen OG Sheep Micro 16
Gosen Polylon Ice 17
Eagnas Perfect Spin
Prince DNA Helix 16
Genisis Black Magic 17
MSV Focus Hex 1.18
MSV Focus Hex 1.18
Prince Syn Gut Duraflex 16
Luxilon Alu Big Banger Rough
Prince Topspin Plus 16
Prince Topspin Duraflex 15L
Prince Pro Blend HYBRID
Gamma Syn Gut 16
Gamma Challenger Syn Gut 17
Babolat VS 16 Natural Gut
Gaucho Natural Gut Blue Spiral 16G
Gaucho Natural Gut 16G

Leaning towards the Gosen Micro, Prince Topspin or Eagnas Perfect Spin.
And He doesnt know what tension he wants so I will probably string about mid tension for his raqcuet. Does lower tension last longer?

Thanks Folks :)

i dunno if the 16 g is like the 17g, but if it is i'd stay away from the gosen og sheep micro. i use the 17g just for crosses and they are fraying after less than 6 months of casual hitting (less than once a week). in my opinion, psgd has better durability.

i had some topspin 16 g fray really bad on me back in my younger days when i would hit for 2-3 hours a day. i don't know anything about the eagnas string.

i also have no idea if lower tensions give you more string life.

Lasted for 4 years and it still played well? What level of hitting are we talking about? Try restringing with the same string inside the racquet now or something similar to it.
If it was me, I would choose between the 3 in bold and string it at 2 lbs above mid-tension. Obviously string tension doesn't matter if they went 4 years previously without it restrung again.

On String Forum ratings the Eagnas has much higher ratings than prince or Gosen so might give him that.
His dad (my club partner) says he hits with lots of topspin. He must not play much if it lasted so long. He is in college.
I just don't want to give him something that will break of fray in the fisrt month or so with regular play.

4 yrs ! Give the guy kevlar/Prince Syn Gut Duraflex 16 n you'll never see him again!

Prince Syn Gut Duraflex 16 straight is good enough to last a long time too!

If his last string job lasted himn 4 years, then its probably fair to say that he really doesn't need a string to give him durabilty.

He must either not hit hard enough or play often enough to ever break a string. Probably the former I'd wager.

To that end, I would string his racket up with the best combination of playability and tension maintenance. That would probably serve his needs best. This would direct you towards natural gut, but does he play in all weather conditions, indoor, outdoor???

With regards to Prince Syn Gut w/Duraflex, I never found that to last very long at all. It would last me about 3 weeks of just playing doubles before breaking and I'm not a chronic string breaker.

Politely tell him that he would benefit more from a comfortable, playable string rather than one that is "durable." You can tell him about all the people on this board who will break strings after 4 hours of hitting. They need durable string, not your client. Hopefully, he'll appreciate the honesty and you'll have an every-four-years customer for life.

He probably played with some tournament nylon string that his racquet came prestrung with.

It sounds like your customer is expecting that your string job should last his son well over 4 years as well.

That’s interesting. I sell a lot of Prince Syn Gut w/Duraflex and use it myself with no problem. Have you used it more then one time? Am wondering if you got a bad set or damaged string????

This is a buddy of mine Ive been playing at a round robin party night for the last month and started stringing his own head string for, I dont know much about his son and I dont think he is making a big deal about it I just want to make sure I give him something that will last a reasonable time.

I think Im going Eagnas Perfect Spin since I have that in my dads racquet going on 5 months, ~15 hours total with no signs of wear.
It also has a better Durability review than the Prince gut which has lots of mixed reviews
Thanks guys

Used it in multiple jobs in a Pure Drive and a Wilson sting years ago. I didn't hit with much spin then, but hit very hard mostly flat shots. I found that PSG w/Duraflex would just pop unexpectedly in a very short amount of time. Its probably the least durable string i've ever used with perhaps the exception of Prince Topspin, which is pretty much the same stuff.
