Big fan here
I have two 4D 200 Tour, I think after a long time playing with Prestige, Volkl, Wilson BLX and others good racquet like Head Microgel Pro Stock 231.2 , this 4d 200 tour is my stick.

This is a very good stick indeed, but this club could be an offshoot of the "heavy racket club" :) Has anyone tried other heavy-weights and do a comparison?

I'm a Big fan, too.

Spent a lot of last year playing with the 1 stripe POG OS -- a wonderful stick. Mine weighed around 364-366 grams (12.8-12.9 ozs).

Decided I'd like a 95" equivalent -- and the 200 Tour is that and more. The top of the heap among player's frames, imo.

My Mfil 200 says "TOUR SPECIFICATIONS" on the head.
My Aero 200 says "TOUR SPECIFICATIONS" on the head.
Does that qualify them as "Tour"?

I agree. Mine weigh 352 grams (12.4 ozs) strung, rubberband dampener. I don't miss the extra weight of my POGs.

I think the OP was referring to a "particular" model called the "Dunlop Aerogel 4D 200 Tour", which is different from the "Dunlop Aerogel 4D 200"; of course both of these may be considered "tour specifications"-type of rackets as they are mostly heavy, head-light and thin-beamed. The term "tour specifications" is however rather ambiguous; I think it is more marketing "speak" than really meaning anything at all (since there are equally many "light" rackets used on the tour, such as those used by Roddick, Henin, etc)

Awesome stick, currently have three of them and love them. Anyone know if Dunlop is releasing an upgrade to this frame in their new line?

Let's list the string jobs we've had in our 200 Tours.

For me:

1. VS Team 17/Gosen Micro 17 @ 56
2. VS Team 17/Bab Conquest 17 @ 56
3. Black Magic 1.23/Gamma Professional 1.22 @ 49
4. Black Magic 1.23/Isospeed Professional Classic 1.20 @ 49/51
5. Spin X 1.23/Isospeed Professional Classic 1.20 @ 49/51

I've enjoyed all of them. If I had to pick a fave, it would be the Black Magic 1.23/Isospeed Professional Classic 1.20. Close second would be Spin X 1.23/Isospeed Professional Classic 1.20 (tons of bite and pop, but a little raw compared with the smoother-feeling BM/IPC hybrid).

I didn't really like spin x at all in my frames, just didn't feel right. Power poly was good at 56 lbs but not at the other tension. I hated both hybrids. Typhoon was awesome, my favorite string in the racquet, gonna string them up tonight in them. The luxilon string was awesome, i would switch to it if it is around typhoon's price range but it hasn't been released yet.

My 4d 200 tour has right now Head Sonic Pro 17 at 58 pounds, but I felt a little stiff.
Before that, I strung with same Head Sonic pro at 55 pounds , but was a little powerfull.
Still looking for the best strings and best tension.

As I usually do when playing a friend/opponent, at the end of the match I ask if they would like to switch racquets just for some rallying.

Less than a month ago, I had the pleasure of hitting with this frame. The swingweight felt less than TW states and it felt stiffer as well (could've been the hybrid job).

Very nice frame all around on groundstrokes (unfortunately did not serve with it).. moved fairly quickly off both wings and did not hamper my swing. Very nice feedback off the string-bed as well.

I might have to call that guy to hit/play again this month. A little difficult to get a hold of any demo I want out here in Greece.

Peace-out 200tour Club... keep hitting.

demoed this stick before and it's great on every area! Doesn't even feel heavy at all! Nice spin on serve and great for groundies

Keifers, how significant is the heavier weight when going from the 100 to the 200T? Is it prominent? Noticeable? Negligible?

I'm curious about the frame, but I suspect you're a younger, stronger hitter than me.

It's pretty heavy, and, to me, it didn't feel very lively at all. So, club would be a pretty good description.

My favs are Head PT630's (older racquet), and this Dunlop feels somewhat heavier and with more of a dead feel. Perhaps some people like that.

I will try it again before putting it up for sale.

I can't really give you a direct comparison, Damp. I went from the AG100 (336g/11.85oz) to the KPS88 (~370/13) to the 1 stripe POG OS (364/12.8 ) to the 200 Tour (352/12.4).

I'm really a heavier-stick player -- even now, while I'm enjoying the PK BA93 (337/11.9) so much for its precision and crisp feel, I immediately notice the benefits when I break out one of my heavyweights. There's more oomph and authority in every shot.

Been circling this rack for ages and there's a good chance I'll give it a whirl soon I think (not much of a demo possibility though in UK, hence, my caution).

However, comments like it being heftier than a PT630 puts me off slightly... a tad confusing too as I've heard it swings a tad easier than the Reb 95 - which I personally found swings a bit easier than the capped PT...

I do wonder how it compares to the RD7 (frame I have recent experience of and 1 I'd imagine as having some similarities to the AG2004D Tour?)... if it was a bit more predictable and a touch less hefty (I'd even use the word 'moody' - which might chime with some of you who've ever used the RD7!) than the Yonex, it might really be my cup of tea, as they say.

I also wonder how the balance is... you know, like the specs indicate?... or is it a tad more aggreeably head-light, I wonder?

Anyhow, as I say, I'm very tempted to give it a looky... I had some time with the AG100 mid (loved it for serving)...I do really rate the AG2004D (closed patt) but it's not quite for me... I like the head-size... like the open pattern... like what would appear to be a nice combination of (enhanced) control/(bring your own) power/touch and feel... I like some body and heft... but is it too much body and heft?... could I maneuver the thing without using a hydraulic lift!?...

Guess there's only really 1 way to be sure...

Just demo it dude. Although I am still in the process of demoing other racquets myself, I have truthfully played the best tennis of the past two years when using the 4D 200 Tour. Immediately felt "right". Must demo.

Er... I can't demo it where I am...

Okay, no more qsns (I know I've asked a ton of qsns about this rack in the past)... you know what? I'm just going to buy it.

Will report back once I've hit with it.

No Ross !!! DON'T DO IT !!!!

There are so many racquets out on the market... what about the 4d100? the BLX90 and 95... Head Speed 16x19 with an extra .2in length leaded-up... the Youtek Radical Oversize with silicone in the handle, lead @ 12 and a poly @ 40lbs. An APDC GT customized to your liking. A K88 with natural gut @ 50lbs. is the equivalent of a supermodel in your hands-- feels so good at the time, but will cost you $$$$. A POG... the Diablos are back in stock!!! That money could well go towards a rare frame from the past or a pro-stock frame.... There are too many possibilities.

BTW-- Written with complete sarcasm.

And stability and feel. I can relax my grip and let the weight of the racquet do the work.

I feel those things as well. That's what has me eyeballing this stick. But I also notice a drop in racquet head speed---or at least I think I do---particularly on the serve.

That may well be. Especially if the racquet you're currently using (i.e., the one you strokes are grooved for) is more HL in balance and/or lower in sw.

That's what I notice when I go from a more HL stick to a less HL one. In time -- but maybe not in one hitting session -- I've found it's possible to adjust/re-groove to get more racquet head speed. And then you also have the additional oomph from the new stick extra weight/sw/plow.

Hmmm...

I feel an urge coming on, one that may take me to the classified section.

I thought there'd be a lot more action on this threat.

Well I just recently became a huge fan and bought one! On my first hit with it all of my shots were better than with my previous stick, with the exception of my serve but I know it'll just take some minor adjusting to improve that.

I'm going to be headed to the classifieds to pick up another one!

Well, I finally hit with one of these quite recently and, to echo JZimmer's post above, I 'm surprised there isn't more debate and praise for the AG200Tour. With it's high SW this racket is absolutely primed to hit a monster ball - it totally crushes and just flat kabooms the heck out of it... too hefty and not spinny enough for my tastes but, in the right hands, a really serious, takes no prisoner's, pretty awesome player's frame.

Hate to say my initial impressions were wrong...but I was wrong.

Initially, I didn't like the balance of this thing. So, I took the cushioned grip off (as I often do), built up the butt of the handle with some tape, and wrapped it with a couple of TournaGrip II's. I think on one of them I put a little lead tape on the butt. I have 3 now.

Strung with Klip Legend natural gut 17 guage this thing is now quite a beast and is replacing my PT 630 as number 1 racquet because it's much more spin generating and otherwise pretty similar. The one thing not quite so great is the serve, but I'm working on that. But, all in all, I am playing better than ever with this very solid and spin friendly club of a racquet.

Wow, that was quick. I thought I had a really long term relationship going with my discontinued and rather expensive Head PT 630's. Their dense string patterns have proved to be a limitation for me.

But, then I did get over my first wife. Second one's better.

I just ordered a 200 4d tour with klip legend natural gut 60-57 strung. I am very excited about this racket. It surpasses the the 6.1 95 in every category. I will give more details as I play next week. I have only demoed with terrible strings and still liked it.

Good luck with it. Sounds very similar to my setup.

If you don't quite like the balance of this racquet, work with the handle some.

I think it will be perfect because I put a lot of lead on the 6.1 95 . The 6.1 is to head light for my preference so i end up using lead on most of the wilsons I have.

When will the price be reduced on the Tour? TW still has it at $179. Love this stick, plan to buy at least 2 more when the price drops.

It took me around two months or so to get the dunlop sponsorship. Sorry I don't have any awesome feelings because I haven't tried it yet. Hows it compare to the BLX 95? I am still deciding between this or the 300 tour.....

I just played the 200 tour this week and its great. It is definitely more head heavy than the blx 95. the serves were very crisp and could really get good pop and power ( something the blx 95 18x20 was missing) I strung this racket with NG 17 on mains with multi on the crosses. the touch game was superb because of the stability that came from the weight and its distribution. the ground game was great with heavy balls, very comparable to the blx 90 to which I hit on occasions. the best part is that the sweet spot is very generous especially with my string set up. I have added about 4in of lead tape at 9-11 and 1-3. I like it a little more top heavy for returning big serves and pounding the ground game. Overall the racket has more control than the blx 95 16x18 and has been working out great this week.

I haven't tried the 200 Tour yet, but the regular AG200 with 18x20 i did demo. Would u say the 200 Tour is more or less demanding than the BLX90. Also how does it compare with the non-Tour version. Do they have the same feel and flex. I thought the non-Tour was just a bit soft and lacked that edge/crisp feel of the BLX90. I have to say however that the regular 200 was a fun hit and I'd say its one of my favorites from all my demos of players frames. TIA.

The tour is def less demanding than the blx 90. it's a little less weight and has a lower swing weight. The dunlop 200 tour cuts the air a little better. as far as the difference between the 200 and 200 tour i do not know because I havent hit the normal 200. My main experience is between the blx 95's 16x18 and 18x20

I really prefer the open pattern 16x19. the 200 tour is 16x18 but its tighter in the middle like a 16x19 frame.

JT Corona

Recently got a chance to hit with the 200Tour and I agree it is less demanding than the BLX90. The 200T is actually quite similar to the 200 18x20 with respect to flex. The 350 SW of the 200 tour feels lighter to me. Overall I prefer the 18x20 cause it feels more controlled to me.

you gain a little control but loose some pop on the serves going to a 18x20. i like my serve with this racket and i'll deal with the extra juice on the groundies

Newest member to this club. I just made the switch, officially.
The first racquet I have not needed to add weight in the head to get my ~355 swingweight. I added a Dunlop Hydramax overgrip, and a couple grams in the handle, with rubber band dampener. New weight is 358 grams, and close to 7 pts headlight. Soft on the arm, power when you need it, and excellent accuracy. Best volleying racquet I have used.
