String Recommendations PLEASE

I'm new to all things string before I just had my coach string it with whatever he had (usually prince synthetic) but now I'm taking control. I had technifibre black code 17 on my APDC but recently that has started to give me some TE and tendinitis in the bicep. Because its full poly? right? I have now switched to the APDGT which is even stiffer. I'm looking at hybrid packages on Tennis Warehouse. WHat would u guys recommend?
Oh and I'm primarily a baseline player. Play with lots of spin and also like to generate pace (which is why I'm looking at hybrids)
I'm 5'7 and 130 pounds if that helps
THANKS

I'd recommend you string lower than 59 if you play like that, BC seems right up your ally. Try 53-54 and see if that helps.

You guys are seriously insisting he change strings AND racquets because his arm is a little sore? Drop the tension 5 pounds, and you should feel a whole lot better. Not a lot of arms can handle full poly near 60 around here.

I did not insist the OP change anything. I'm merely pointing out that both are not very arm friendly. The OP can decide if they want to change strings first before buying new rackets.

I see. Still, given the tension OP is stringing at, it's a bit of a stretch to say he should just give up polys altogether, he possibly just has it strung too tight.

I recommend trying a hybrid TF BC 17G at 50 lbs in the mains, with a 16G syn gut cross at 52 lbs on a constant pull machine. If lock-out type stringing machine, add 2 lbs to each. Change your strings after 15-20 hours of use. This should help your elbow. You will retain control as the polys will give you plenty of control. Note, Nadal plays with a stiff powerful racket, adds weight to the tip to increase the swing weight and power, swings this beast of a racket about twice as fast as you and generally plays with tensions in the low to mid-50s depending on the conditions - surface, tempature, balls, ...

Mere mortals like us (not Nadal) should string poly between 40 and 52 lbs. Many pros are in this range too.

Long term, you may want to consider a more arm friendly racket as others suggested above. Arm friendly generally means:
1. At least 4 pts HL
2. Flex rating in the mid 60s or lower - I like 58-64 range but this is just a guideline.
3. A swing weight of 320 or above as more mass absorbs more shock and vibration as well as adding power without requiring as much swing speed.

Three soft poly mains I've used with soft multi crosses that work for my sensitive elbow are Genesis Black Magic 17, Weiss Cannon B5E 17 and Dunlop Black Widow 17 at low tensions (<50).
