It's super fast bc Nadal isn't there to show you how slow it is

I just love all these guys with built-in speedometers. Hopefully, the equipment does not interfere with your routine vision.
Sitting at best in front of their TVs (some are using tiny computer screens) they see whether the grass plays 2 km/hour faster, or 3 km/hour slower.
Despite all the calibration tests, numerous statements from the Wimbledon management and ITF about the blooming grass, arm chair pundits are still chewing this lucrative subject. Bon appetit!

If you actually watched tennis instead of moaning all the time you'd notice the differences with your naked eye.
Apparently it's impossible to judge how fast things move with your eye.
Can you imagine her trying to cross the road without getting run over?
It really is. Wimbledon championships and again at this Olympics it's been 90's fast. Maybe they couldn't use the rye because of the quick regrowth they required for the Olympics?
Is this a joke? I don´t see anybody remotely far playing as the 1990´s players...you never watched tennis before 2000, isn´t it?
I'm waiting for you to tell me Jan Kodes was 12 feet tall and faster than Usain Bolt.
Look everyone, this is 90's grass:

I'm pretty sure there is zero difference in the speed from Wimbledon, they didn't dig up the entire court.
I'd rather watch a 5hr nadal baseline match than two s&v players in a 90s servefest with every set being won 7-6 .
I was right, wasn't I?
The grass is fast again and slices are staying low. Players are winning at the net and ace counts are high.
Vindication is nice.

No one on this forum has ever played on professional grass. So it's kind of pointless to state how much FASTER the courts were in the 90s.

fast grass means disadvantage federer......
90's grass speed is overrated. It is fast. But not lightning fast like some make it out to be. Serve and Volley obviously was more common in those days. Thus shorter points.
