Federer received death threat

Agreed, it's not necessarily a Nadal fan as some people pointed out, since Federer never really 'wrecked' Nadal's career (Nadal already thoroughly dominates Federer). Probably a Federer fan who wasted his money on him winning those tournaments (Federer fans love to gamble).

.......no.........

It's probably Fed himself, because he's annoyed that, even on hiatus from playing, Rafa still makes more news here in TW. He's just craving for more attention. Such a Diva, Fed is.
How arrogant of him.

Also on espn.go.com , it is full of rafa trolls i cant even look at the comment section there being a fed fan  , once it used to be nole trolls and rafa's and when nole was shut off, it is full of rafa trolls

So because Federer underperformed in those 2 tournaments, a desperate fan is going to kill him?

Nadal fans were never great in logic.

Firstly, 99% of threats are nothing more than threats. Secondly, nobody is harder on their player than Federer fans are on Federer. Thirdly, most stalkers walk the line between love and hate for their subject.

Exactly, Federer is the last player I'd want to see retire. Since 2008, both Murray and Djokovic have been more of a threat to Rafa at the slams.

So as a Rafa fan, you mean you want Rafa to further slaughter Fed on a tennis court. How cruel can you be ?

That and also the fact that Federer helps Rafa every time he eliminates Murray/Djokovic. Although admittedly Federer rarely makes a slam final, so not much of a help.

Hey, at least he doesn't get Rosol'd in the 2nd round of slams by 100 ranked nobodies! :D

Federer has lost in the 1st Round of Wimbledon THREE times. Rafa has never lost in the 1st Round of a slam.

But then Federer is the player with the 2nd longest streak of consecutive Grand Slam tournament appearances in Open Era tennis history and he's considerably older than Nadal.

And Rafa already has won slams for 8 years in a row (9 years when he wins a slam next year) and he's considerably younger than Federer. By the time Rafa is Federer's age, Rafa will have an unbelievable streak record which will never be broken.

Pfft. Nobody cares about winning slams for consecutive years in a row. The important thing is total number of slams won overall.

Care to remind me again, RAFA2005RG. Who actually has the most Grand Slam titles?

Oh yeah, QF streaks are important, but not WINNING SLAMS lol.

Care to remind me, Zwhatever how old Federer is? Of course he has 17 slams. So he should.

Federer is currently 31 with 17 slams.

Nadal is currently 26 with 11 slams.

When Federer was 26 he had 13 slams.

There goes that argument.

And then he will fly off in space to become the first interstellar grand slam champ..

Problem is, Federer never dominated a slam to the degree Rafa has (7 RG in 8 attempts). It's going to take WAY LONGER for Rafa to decline enough at RG to lose. He's going to be winning it into his 30s. Whereas Federer decline badly at the US Open, and has been far more beatable at Wimbledon (including back-to-back QF exits in 2010/2011, and only ONE Wimbledon title in the last 3 years). Rafa will be racking up RG titles for as long as he wants to.

Good ol NSK "Nadal will continue racking up those RG titles well into his mid 30s and 40s" again, eh?

Why am I not surprised.

******* response:

"Nadal will keep winning RG for years to come"

26 years old, I doubt he will keep winning it when he gets to 30. So only 4 more grandslams if he can handle it.

17 > 15 slams, if he is still playing. :)

The thread should be about the 'death threat' not about the records and all gawd!!!

That's just NSKzilla's basic coping mechanism: "A thread about not-Rafa? And about some serious business, no less? Quick, let's derail it with meaningless :) RNadal :) future hypothetical records so I can bear to read it."

2nd Round isn't bad. Federer has lost in the 1st Round of Wimbledon THREE times. Rafa has never lost in the 1st Round of a slam.

2nd round is awful in one's peak years. It spelled the end for Sampras when he had the same result. I don't know what spacetime manifold you reside in, but being the most consistent player in grand slams ever isn't too bad.

Federer shouldve skipped instead of losing 1st round no?

The worst part is all the players are threatened because the would-be assassin knows Federer will become a hardened target and leave the other players as easier to get at.

Thing is we didn't need this guy. Nadal & Djokovic already exterminated tennis the last 2 years.

It is just embarrassing that such people exist. These scum wads that live to threaten others must be exiled to Gotham City.

The ultimate punishment would be for the man to be tied to a pole, alone with Federer a racket and a cart of tennis balls.

Leave the rest to your imagination.

That would be a very dramatic final for Federer - dying to become immortal. Just imagine all those slam counts people would suggest he would have won.

No tournaments that allow Gunther in.
Always easy to say that in retrospect.

If a Seles type incident happened at a Chinese tournament, the culprit would likely never see the light of day again.

I have seen more than one person threaten Nadal with bodily harm, wish injury on him,and wish him dead on here. I have also seen the same type of comments on other message boards as well; Fed's official message board included. Hopefully none of those nutters(and they know who they are)ever act out their comments.

And hopefully noone hurts Fed. I doubt they will, but people can be crazy these days.
