Whatever may happen to Scotland as a country in the future, it is presently still legally a part of Great Britain and that is the country Murray was representing when he won the gold medal. It reflects the reality of the situation when he won it.
Just think of all those non-Russians who represented the Soviet Union or the East Germans or Czechoslovak or Yugoslavian sports figures. Would you expect them to be retrospectively stripped of their medals because their countries no longer form part of the Soviet Union, East Germany, Czechoslovakia or Yugoslavia? No, of course not because those were the countries they represented at that time and that reflected the political reality of that time.
