Is Djokovic more intellectual than Federer and Nadal?
Totally agree with OP. If you listen to classical, you are clearly more 'intellectual' than someone who doesn't.
Nadal has said many times that he likes classical music as well. Is he intellectual too?

Not until he learns to compose and play his own classical music. I'm sure he can afford a violin.
Anyone can listen to classical music.
OP, that list lost all credibility when it listed Kanye in the honorable mentions section.
I would put Tipsy and Youzhny as the most intellectual tennis players.
LOL.
Fed likes some classical music as well, though I don't think opera. But he's had Beethoven and Chopin pieces on his i-pod. And last year he went with his mom to a Beethoven violin concert in Rotterdam for her b-day. OK, it was a b-day outing for her but doubt they would have gone if he hated that kinda stuff.
Anyway, that said, of course Djoko is more intellectual than Fed and Nadal - I thought that was common knowledge? That's obvious from his interviews, the types of movies he sees etc.
Nadal at least does read some books though; Fed isn't a book-reader at all and when he talks about movies it's usually James Bond kinda stuff. "Good Will Hunting" is about as "arty" as he goes to my knowledge anyway.
Please. He can't even speak English, and that's the most basic requirement.
Plato and Aristotle, Leonardo da Vinci and Beethoven couldn't speak English either. Does that mean they weren't intellectuals?
LOL.

Anyways, for the sake of argument, Djokovic said that his favorite movie was "Slumdog Millionaire" (ATP interview), he thinks Gangnam Style (and the stupid dance) is awesome, shares David Guetta songs on his twitter page, makes penis jokes, and thinks punching people in the balls is funny...Yes, he is the archetypical intellectual.
Emm, It is not common knowledge and I agree with Jeffery that it is really judgmental to consider someone less intelligent because of their tastes in movies or music.

Roger's initials are part of the word PeRFect. How much more blatantly obvious can that be in terms of his game style?

Wow.
Your ignorance is *really* showing. At least 400 million people in the world speak Spanish. How's yours? How about your Catalan? Your Italian? French?

Less intellectual, not less intelligent.
Novak's penis jokes are neither here nor there; a person can be intellectual and still enjoy/appreciate silliness.
I'm sorry my post upset you, but it's 2013. It's easier to learn English than ever. Anyone who wants to be seen as world class individual speaks it. That was the consensus reached here.
!is that a fact, or just more rubbish?

Enoying classical music means it is more likely you have a taste for melodies composed meticulously and analytically in a mode of reflection rather than purely as mass crowdpleasers, but it says nothing intrinsic about one's intellect in general.
You have got to be joking.

What about Federer and Nadal?
Is it a fact that Djokovic is not more intellectual than Federer and Nadal?
Is it a fact that Djokovic is not more intellectual than Federer and Nadal?
Do you have facts to back this up?

I've had that vibe about him from the start. He's not an intellectual in absolute terms (he's an athlete duh) but he seems more articulate and a bit more sophisticated intellectually than a lot of other players.

That's a great film with considerably more artistic value than let's say Rambo, Gladiator or (cough, cough) Dirty Dancing.
I never said Federer's movie choices were more artsy. Slumdog Millionaire was horrendous and not even close to being "artsy". I guarantee that Djokovic would not consider that movie his favorite anymore. That interview was from March 2009, what happened, most likely, was that Djokovic watched that movie a few weeks earlier and immediately labeled it his favorite movie of all time.

Bottom line is that liking blockbusters does not make you a dumb person. Federer's choices pretty much give away that he is not a guy who watches many movies. They are all childhood favorites most likely.

It was horrendous. He probably picked that movie as his favorite because it was trendy at the time to do so.
