Well I said he looked happy...

Even though the ladies seem to like his slighter fuller face in those pics; he doesn't look like he's in match playing shape to me. Which makes sense, since he hasn't played a match in months.

His face looks the same to me(other than he needs to shave badly). I think the terrible haircut he is sporting right now is to blame for you thinking his face looks fat. He actually looks to have lost a little weight since he hasn't been playing.

yeah what'swith his hair? In the first pic it looks weirdly piled up on his head, in the second pic he actually looks quite nice I think, not the hair, but his face, the 3rd doesn't even look like Nadal

I think he's lost some muscle weight but seems a little less lean to me...

maybe I'm seeing things.

Nothing, just saying its not as important as Roland Garros and Wimbledon, plus its been a health hazard both years that Nadal made the final - the doomed years of 2009 and 2012. Worth playing? Obviously not.

It's not as important as Wimbledon. You are right. Why was Nadal not in the final there this year, and not playing in 09?

Nadal looks very slim his muscle mass seems have gone down dramatically in the photos his body doesn't look toned like it used to be. I don't think Nadal is in as great shape as people think he is in.

Anyone else think Nadal stopped taking care of himself? He always looks like he just rolled out of bed.

Duh,,,,,,, because of the Australian Open. The Australian Open destroyed Nadal's body in 2009 and 2012. Playing 7 rounds on that suicide surface is too much. His knees got worse and worse since the AO until they were gone by mid-year. You just observed it in 2012. Same thing in 2009.
