Help me buy my first racquet!

I got into tennis about 3 months ago when my brother came to stay with me while he took a quarter off from school. Instantly, I fell in love with the game. For the last 3 months we've been playing about 5x a week. He's now gone (along with his racquets), so I'm looking to get my own. I dont expect to get too serious with this....mainly looking for a nice racquet I can use as a rec/weekend player.

Not sure what info is needed but:
29 years old
Male
5'10 and relatively fit
Play recreationally
Semi-beginner, but been playing quite a bit the last 3 months.
Budget: Under $200
Looking for something that I can buy once and be done with it...I'm not looking to get super competitive or anything, just want something nice i can go play around with and not worry about upgrading later, or having to grow into (Dunno if thats possible).

I forgot to mention:
I've been reading threads where the general consensus is to go demo a bunch of racquets...I have no problem with that...but I've love a few recommendations on WHAT to demo as trying out 10 racquets will just make my head spin.

Also, the $200 budget isn't really set in stone...feel free to recommend whatever as I'm pretty flexible with the price.

Then write of list of potential racquets of like and DEMO them.

After that, decide which racquet is best for YOU.

Problem solved.

It's a nice flexy, light yet HL racquet that will reward a development of a correct technique. What can possible go wrong?
It's as good as it comes for a beginner. I've setup radical mp racquets to 7 beginners at my local club and they all love it.

It's funny, but my first "pro" stick has also been a Head liquidmetal a few years back....

The first racket I had was a Wilson Hammer but then I switched over to a Wilson H-wave.

I used to have Agassi's old Head racket (the yellow one- forgot it's name)- that was by far the best racket I had in terms of powerful groundstrokes/serves. But it got stolen =/. It also gave me very solid volleys at the net. I'm really pissed this got stolen too especially because i strung it with Luxilon Alu Power haha.

Favorite stick I've played with is a Pure Drive though.

With a $200 budget, just chose whichever racket you like. All my rackets that I brought were below $120 at the time.

I think you should learn tennis with a HL and flexy racquet with some "advanced specs" (not tour specs of course) unless you're a children or a older person. The Head Radical MP fits that criteria perfectly, and that's one the reasons why it is a best seller.

Yeah I agree Head Radical MP is a great option

I looked for the Head Microgel radical MP, but it doesn't look like any of my local stores carry it. Need to figure out my grip so I can order online, at least to demo.

Prince EXO3 something or another. Not sure which model...I didn't choose that racquet because I liked it, it's the extra one he owned so I borrowed it to play. It's the only one I've ever played with.

doesnt matter since you're only 3 months into the sport. Pick one in the almost international 11.5oz range and play until you're 3.5ntrp lol

Pro Kennex 7G for $119 - NEW on TW.

I gave mine to my wife as she was having wrist issues with her racquet, and I never got it back.
Almost every person where I play that's tried it, buys one. It does everything well with nice feel, is light enough to still customize if you want to tweak it later, and protects your arm as well. Check out the threads on Tennis Talk about the 7G, it is a very well received racquet.

Volkl Vi Classic is a steal at 99 dollars. Im getting a Pro Kennex Q5 295 strung with Ashaway Mobogut Zyex at 55. Both these rackets are arm and user friendly and are solid for their weight
