Hey guys!

Unfortunately, it seems we have run out of medium Pure Lime skirts, I know Spencer will be disappointed! Sorry! :p

As Tiffani said, we want to hear your questions about the brands we are carrying -- if you have apparel questions about fit or style or matching it with other things or how it might fit a certain body type. Shoes -- same thing, fit, styles, colors, what type of foot you have and what shoe would be best, etc. Racquet questions, string questions, etc.!

The sizing should be very similar between the 5 and the 8. Go with whatever size you wore in the 5.

We actually have just gotten a bunch of shorts in that are really cute. What are you looking for in a short, maybe I can guide you in the right direction.

Do you have a certain length you are looking for? Do you like the built in compression short? Or the liner?

I guess I prefer a liner, but it's not a strong preference. What I'm looking for are tennis shorts, in white, with pockets. Perhaps similar to men's but cut for a woman's body. Ubfortunately, men's shorts are too big and WAAY too long. None of the women's shorts at the posted link seem to have any pockets.

Yea, tennis shorts have definitely evolved over the years!

Here are a few options you could consider (there are a few that are low on sizes but we should have more coming in).

These are probably the closest thing to what you are looking for (we will be getting more sizes in for the white pairs soon):

and lastly, I know you aren't looking for men's shorts, however, if you do want a longer option that won't fit as baggy, there are these: (the inseam is only 4.5 inches)

Quick question... Do you know of any mid pants or at least bermuda? something that goes at least below the knee (the longer the better)? I struggle to find any since Nadal, well, drastically shortened his pants to say the least. Grabbed a pair of Graphic LED from Lotto on TWE, but that's about it. I'm not really satisfied with the regular offering that I find too short. I like my knees warm...

In general the longest men's shorts are around 10" inseam, which puts it about the kneecap for most men. Fed's short is actually longer than Nadal's short these days. Our longest short in stock is from Puma at 12". This should drop below the knee.

Thanks for the answer. They had told me Nadal would wear shorter shorts than Federer, I clearly wouldn't have believed it.

We just got in a New Balance short you might be interested in. It's a knit pique short with front pockets (fits one ball), and there's a built-in brief.

can you guys get more slim fitting clothes. you have a couple of polos by lacost, but not a lot of variety.

Do you like polos only? In general, Lotto and Li-NING fits slimmer through the chest as do Solfire crews.

Hi,

Thanks for the info and blog! It is very well done.

I am a long standing power short Nike purchaser going back to the statement short days. How does the Victory short compare in terms of fit to the power line? I sort of like the pockets as quite often I take the dog for a walk after practice in the AM and it would be nice to have a pocket for keys etc. Are the Victory shorts shorter or similar to the Power shorts?

Good question!

They are two pretty different shorts actually. The Victory short is woven and will feel a bit lighter, but they also run a bit tighter fitting than the Power short. The Victory short does have the pockets, however, they aren't the most functional pockets. I personally prefer the Power short to the Victory short.

Our buyers are bringing in a new short next month (that I think are great to play in/workout in/walk the dog in), so keep an eye out for those (the Nike Tempo short)!

I would go with the Nike Air Max Cages -- these are closer to the 2k10s/Breathe FreeIIs. The Vapors are great as well, however the Cages come with a 6 month outsole warranty and I find them to be more stable.

mens shorts. I bought the federer shorts, but they seem so much longer than the ones he actually has. acording to others they are not the ones he really uses for matches. can you guys recommend some tight fighting stuff and shorts than dont go so below over the knee caps.

Have you tried the Rafa shorts? The Premier Woven 8 inch shorts. Those fit tighter and are probably more of what you are looking for!

Also, Fila and Lotto might be some shorts you want to check out!

I only prefer shorts that have buttons and additional back pockets on them. Because of this, my selections only limit me to K-Swiss and other clothing brands. Since they aren't releasing any more in extra colors, it's hard to find the ones I want out there.

What's the largest inseam for the Fila Santoros?

Idk why they chose to make them THAT short. I know they are a 'traditional' clothing lline, but it's 2013, not 1983.. :oops:

The Fila Santoro short is about 5" inseam for all sizes. There are many men who prefer the classic tennis short, and this is virtually the only option out there for them these days.

Wow. It won't look too good on the self-conscious males with bulky legs.. :roll:

I'm not surprised. Fila has and will always keep their conservative style. Actually, I applaud them for it. I'm stopped purchasing Nike and other apparel and will probably look around for K-Swiss and Fila items around town and the internet.

Nothing wrong with the shorts, but they have a negative stigma due to it's 'feminine' and 'flamboyant' appearance. :roll:

I'm telling you right now that if Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, etc. started wearing the traditional shorts, Nike and the other clothing companies will start releasing new shorts with shorter length due to high demand. :mad:

That's what I keep asking!!! I want one of the originals too!

I will forward this request on (they get tired of hearing me say it over and over) and see if we can work on getting some in!
