It is really sad to see you slowly drop in level. Just because you want to focus on school doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your tennis.
I know dozens of good juniors who drop off like you are now and its such a shame.
You could win opens/play some futures one day, if you want to? Do you want to?

All levels are welcome, I am thinking 10 am is the best time. The locals are pretty good.

Wait did you also go to Schurr? I went there and I've been playing at Macy since around 2004 or 2005.

no i went to gabrielino but i know the ppl who r my year who went to schurr (who went to macy). LOL small world. I've been playing at elder park for the last year. Recently I've been going to garvey park more (better light).

What graduating class were you? You said you are in grad school at UCLA? So are you Class of 2008 or 2009? I was Class of 2013 at Schurr.

lol eric is my best friend. i've been playing mostly with him. Benson is a good friend too, i played with him a couple times (but he lives far now and he's way better than me). Blake was my friend in macy but I don't see him anymore. hahahahahaha. I also know curtis/danny/jimmy/ricky but they don't play much anymore. About 4 yrs ago bryan yu and eric used to play a lot at elder and from what I heard he was pretty good, but I didn't play tennis back then.

How is it that you're too busy to play a 5.0 tournament but you will spend a weekend playing scrubs from this board? You also seem to have endless amounts of time to post on this site. You say you want to get better as a player but your actions indicate otherwise.

Because this park is literally 3 minutes away from my house and when I play tournaments, I am fully committed to preparing the whole day to performing to the best of my ability. These weekend hits mean I don't really have to spend the entire day preparing for doing well in a tennis match, so I can really call it quits after like an hour and a half or even less if I have too much homework. I'm on the computer most of the time to write these lab reports, complete assignments, etc. so Talk Tennis is guilty pleasure :twisted:

Sorry, guys. Though I initially said I'd love to come and play but I looked up the route and it's about 1hr of driving for me. I don't feel up to it.
Besides I feel like I have had enough tennis for this week and possibly a while. Been playing 3 days in a row, matches and what not.
