I thought I saw Fed out there today

I would feel awfully silly sitting in my desk chair at home, eagerly awaiting my next club match, calling someone like Grigor Dimitrov an "underachieving clown." I'm glad your achievements, lifestyle, and talents rival his. Well done.

Bicep tendinitis and tennis elbow...I'm 33. Opinions?

Would love to, but my consistency is reliant on a good amount of topspin. Think my game would suffer a little too much without poly strings. Definitely agree that it would provide more comfort, though.

Bicep tendinitis and tennis elbow...I'm 33. Opinions?

I actually tried this out today (52, full poly though) and it was much more comfortable, actually. Didn't lose control like I was worried I would- seemed the additional spin compensated for it. Will likely try 47 or so next week.

Bicep tendinitis and tennis elbow...I'm 33. Opinions?

I lift 5 days a week on average, so I'd find it hard to believe it's a strength issue, but there could be specific muscles that PT could help me with training properly. Awesome data point, though- thank you!

Did switching from the former to the latter help alleviate some similar issues you were having?

Good to know- that's a helpful data point. Much appreciated.

Bicep tendinitis and tennis elbow...I'm 33. Opinions?

Thanks for the input. Yes to your questions about the FH, but that's the least painful thing I do- backhands (both slice and topspin) and painful, so I'll try making tweaks there, too. Maybe try to keep some bend in the arm through contact- distribute load more evenly.

Bicep tendinitis and tennis elbow...I'm 33. Opinions?

Here's why it seems weird I'd have those two conditions (developed recently): 1) I'm 33, I'm fit, I'm healthy 2) I play like once a week 3) My technique isn't bad- I'm a 4.5 w/ pretty simple SW forehand, 1HBH Aside from the classic (and good) advice just to rest, does any part of my equipment...

    John Isner's Racket

I feel like it's an optical illusion. the O3 white has little white patches around the 11 and 1 areas and I think at that angle, they might be making the racquet head look weirdly shaped. just my opinion. the throat of it doesn't look like a Prince racquet's shape, though...

Pacific racquet grommets to fit Fischer racquets?

Hey, everyone: So for anyone who's looked closely, I'm sure you've noticed lots of similarities and even things that are exactly the same between some Pacific racquets and Fischer racquets. I'm a Fischer M Comp 95 user in desperate need of grommet sets. Will Pacific grommets from any of...

    Pacific already in EU

so does anyone know if the mold for any of these new Pacific frames is similar enough to my Fischer M Comp 95 for the grommets to fit? I'm getting pretty desperate for grommet sets for my M Comps, and was just wondering whether this was a possibility. thanks!

Federer needed a wild card? What the heck?

On the ATP Tour site on the main page, it featured a blurb about Federer getting into the Monte Carlo masters event by way of a wild card. Why in the world does the #2 player in the world need a wild card? Anyone to satisfy my curiosity?

Something like PSGD 16 but a little more durable?

I'm a pretty loyal PSGD 16 user, but I break a set of strings about every 5 days, and it's getting a little old. Can anyone offer me suggestions for a string similar to PSGD 16 but a little more durable? Thanks!

Guys only: best legs and other best female issues

So I've kind of always wondered, and I'm actually watching her right now... I've always thought that Alicia Molik was a very good-looking girl, cute, very nice feminine athletic build. So how come no recognition for her in this thread? :)

What are these clear strings that I received in a demo racquet?

Hey guys. I finally got my demo order from TW the other day, and the Dunlop M-Fil 300 that I received is strung with some sort of clear string. Like totally clear and transparent. I like to think that I know my way around racquets and strings and stuff like that quite well, but I'm very...

Tennis JUST A 2 WEEK SPORT???

This thread is severely misplaced, but what the gentleman is saying is that he finds that tennis only seems to be populat in the UK for the 2 weeks that Wimbledon is going on.

    PD Team+ & PSGD 16 @ 59lbs-- makings for a rocket launcher?

I'll be honest with you guys, now that I've cleaned up my forehand swing, my PD Team + strung with PSGD @ 59lbs just seems like a rocket launcher, like I have to be very careful of my swingspeed. I'm thinking Luxilon ALU Power (or possibily Fluoro) at the same tension. Btw, 15g of lead...

    halp!!! topspin lob

Also, it is a shot to be hit with the entire arm. Not just the wrist. As with anything, especially normal forehand groundstrokes, using predominantly your wrist will cause the ball to fall short. Be sure to use your entire arm to execute this shot.

    Racquet Help

Dave G, wait a second. Good gracious, people. The guy just started playing and you're recommending lead tape modification and all kinds of crap. Take a breath. Dave G, you're not going to find a racquet that will suit you now, and that will suit you 5 years from now if you dedicate...

    APD cortex vs Npro Open

Well, I've actually hit a few balls with an nPro Open one time, but I don't think enough to give any educated advice on the subject. However, your technique should add more greatly to stability than your racquet. If you have a very wristy, whippy forehand, you will need a bit more help from...
