Any Prince Speedport Tour users out there?

try an o3 tour I believe this was one of the early speedports. Its a 12 oz racquet with 95 inch head that has amazing feel and control. I stopped playing Prince about 4 years back and went thru a number of Head and Yonex tour-type models. Over this time I would try my friends' Prince...

Prince O3 Tour MP Hard Throat Grommet

Yes there is one for the o3 tour. I got one from my local stringing / pro who used to play with them.

    Tonic snapping while stringing

grommets a possibility but most likely old string. Even if it were pressing the frame, the gut would usually just cut a few fibers and fray a little.

    help on rds 002/tour

The tour is the best racquet I've every hit with. So solid - produces a very heavy ball

Building up grips on my Yonex tour

I am wanting to increase my racquet grip size without adding alot of weight to the handle. (I tried just putting a cheap Wilson padded comfort replacement grip over the first and am now playing a billy club that weighs in at 13.7 oz) What are my best options with racquet weight and balance a...

Decided On natural gut strings.. but??

IMO go with the benchmark. VS 16 touch, then you can experiment to see if you like any of the cheaper.

Wilson Kzen Vs. Yonex RDS003 Vs. Pure Drive Cortex

the rds 003 sounds like a good fit. The head shape and size will help your weak areas as its very forgiving but packs a nice punch.

HELP ME Yonex RDS 001 MP and Prince Tour Diablo users!!!

I have been experimenting with strings in my racquets. Try gamma live wire xp in the 001 mp. I used the 17 g at 61 main 59 cross and the racquet came to life with AMAZING spin. I now have all VS in it and like it half as much. My 002 tours play best for me with gut and poly. I am now a...

Does anyone here like Gamma Synthetic Gut?

its good for what it is and at very good price. I've moved on to gut and poly but having tried a few other brands, I would not pay more for syn gut - the gamma is good.

    Ace Play Premium Natural Gut

Make sure you leave neg feedback on ****. This whole thing was a scam - not just bad gut. A friend of mine had a bid in and **** cancelled all the sellers auctions because of seller improprieties - were guessing he's using other screen names to bid up the auction price and manufacture good...

Yonex RDS 002 vs Yonex RDS 002 Tour

of all the rds line, I liked the non-tour 002 the least. IMO it serves no real purpose. The 002 tour feels heavy (mine weighs 12.6) and has the pro and cons that come with that. It is my favorite. If you don't want the weight, the mp 001 is very sweet too.

    Yonex RDS 001 Racquets

Both require you to hit out on the ball (which I consider a positive) i've played with both and chose the mp because I'm used to the larger head racquets. 2 of my teammates use the 90 and they love it. To me, if you can frame ok on a 90, I would go that direction as you get the advantages with...

RDS 002 compared to RDS 001

If your talking about the 002 Tour, I have both and think the difference is huge. Sure, alot could be weight related but the tour produces a heavier ball for me. My one-handed back hands and volleys are crisper. I let the racquet do more of the work (this is even after toning down the power with...

    yonex rds 001, problems?

I strongly suggest you try Head. Either the flx instinct or flx 4 sounds like it would work. My favorite would be the liquidmetal radical mp or os. I've recently switched from the rad to the rds models. I love them but wanted the extra weight.

    Gamma Strings

First off, I'd say the Gamma syn gut is as good as any and priced well. Secondly, I have been very happy with the live wire 16 XP. If you have to buy thru a pro shop, you are def paying the premium, but better that than pay the money and come home with Prince.

    Yonex racquets...

I just bought the 01 MP, I need more playtime to evaluate but its awesome from the get-go. I also have the 02 tour (sl). When I replace the strings, I need to tweak the power for my forehand, but the one-handed backhand and volleys are so very sweet. For me, I'm still getting used to the weight...

    String savers, anyone use them

The big advantage to me is that they keep the strings from moving all over the place. I put them in while the strings are new so I can't say I notice a significant difference in the play or feel - other than the mains are where they are supposed to be when hitting the next ball.

Hybrid with Pro Supex Premier Ace ?

I just bought several packs because of the positive comments in this form. I want to try in a yonex rds 001 and an rds 002 tour. Having never used poly before, i would appreciate any suggestions of just pa vs crossing with a syn gut (gamma) or multi (live wire) which I have on hand. I am mostly...

    reducing power, gaining control

Mostly I'm talking about Head LM Radicals altho I have a Wilson Hammer I pull out on occassion. I guess a better way to say this is that my swing doesn't generate enough topspin to control what I feel are good driving forehands (the problem is really only on hitting out with big...

    reducing power, gaining control

I am mostly a baseline and serve hitter who tries to control my ball with topspin. I have a couple racquets that I'm thinking have too much power for me. I have tried 16g gamma syn gut, live wire xp and even wilson reflection stung between 62 and 65 lb. When first strung, they hit like a board...

    Prestige or radical

I also demoed both and liked the all around control of the radical. To me the prestige seemed more head heavy which I liked for serves, but didn't need on other strokes. Both are good tho - the best of the flexpt line.
