Djokovic's career is more similar to Sampras's than Agassi's

Djokovic will win a slam outside of Australia? Last time it happened was 2011. And he hasn't been winning the AO easily, so even that might be over. He's lost his last 2 slam meetings vs Nadal. And he's lost 2 of his last 3 slam meetings vs Murray. He even lost to Federer last year at Wimbledon.

So, Nadal's knees are apprntly suspect. Yet why does everyone favor him over 5 sets?

Nadal hit 22 winners in the fifth set of Roland Garros semi. That is an all-time record. It takes tremendous mental strength to hit the line that many times under maximum pressure, facing the most athletic retriever in tennis and the man who just beat Nadal at Monte Carlo. Got to trust Nadal...

Martina Hingis' husband: "I caught her cheating"

Who said he's trying to prove it? You think he cares if you believe him or not? He's saying it because he saw it (just as we saw her with David Tosas Ros at Roland Garros and Wimbledon).

The perfect player, by Tomas Berdych

2011 and 2012 I would have said Djokovic had the best fitness, but no I'd say Nadal, because Nadal won the 2013 RG semi and then looked physically 100% in the final, meanwhile Djokovic played a Wimbledon semi 5-setter and somehow the final was too much for him? Actually I'm not sure about that...

History will remember Fed as the guy who couldn't beat Rafa.

Call me when someone beats Nadal at Roland Garros not named Soderling (and even that guy got beaten to a pulp in his next 2 meetings with Nadal at RG). Its very hard to believe Nadal won't get the slam record, unless someone can stop him at RG.

Djokovic at #1 for how much longer?

This is a test to see how long you be ranked number one without dominating. Last year, Djokovic won one slam, and won the same number of titles as Federer. This year Djokovic has won one slam, and won less titles than Nadal. And even if Nadal or Murray win the US Open, it won't be easy for...

Possible that Djokovic tanked to Murray for big business?

Imagine how useless Djokovic will be once he loses a little bit of his flexibility and stamina. That's all he has. Whereas you watch Nadal's physical decline since 2008, and this year at Roland Garros he hit 22 winners in the 5th set. I'd like to see Djokovic hit 22 winners in a set at Roland...

    When will Roger Federer retire?

I know. If we presume Nadal will win 2-3 more Roland Garros titles. That means Nadal only needs to win a couple of non-clay slams. I can see Federer helping him out enough for that to happen (and Nadal beating Murray at the US Open like in 2011....and that 2011 Open was when Federer almost...

Don't be so brain dead. You must be the only person on earth not aware of Nadal being injury prone. That is why he hasn't finished number one in consecutive years. And the reason he doesn't defend non-clay events is because.....here's a shock: hardcourt was his weakest surface from 2006-2011...

Possible that Djokovic tanked to Murray for big business?

I'm sure numerous players have tanked Wimbledon, considering its on the most uncommon surface for the present-day tennis player. And many certainly have skipped it over the years. Agassi skipped Wimbledon for about 5 years. And Nadal skipped Wimbledon as defending champion. Also, Djokovic 2007...

    When will Roger Federer retire?

I agree, plus a lot of what Federer does at this point will help Nadal's legacy, because it looks like Federer can still beat Djokovic at the slams (last year at Wimbledon) and Murray (Federer almost beat Murray at AO this year). So by helping to eliminate Djokovic/Murray, it helps Nadal win...

Djokovic tanked the US Open last year too, so Murray could win that. Djokovic is the biggest fraud in sport.

No, the Mac comment was after Nadal lost at Wimbledon. Look at the link, it says "2013/06/25/john-mcenroe-rafael-nadal-is-the-best-ever-even-with-a-first-round-wimbledon-loss"...

History will remember Fed as the guy who couldn't beat Rafa.

You mean you can't tell that Roddick is not great when you watch his prime matches? He was a server with only decent groundstrokes, and below average volleys. And Hewitt was a retriever with very little power or penetration of any kind.

Also because Federer's comments suggest he is still playing his best tennis but being beaten by a stronger era. http://www.tennisnow.com/News/Federer-Tells-Reddit-Fans-Ask-Me-Anything.aspx It stands to reason that Murray, Djokovic, Berdych, Tsonga all improved since 2007. It was always...

History will remember Fed as the guy who couldn't beat Rafa.

And now nobody values the numbers, because they see how much better Nadal/Djokovic are than Roddick/Hewitt. The competition of today has nullified Federer's weak era achievements. That's why Mac, Newcombe, Courier are talking negatively about Federer suddenly.

History will remember Fed as the guy who couldn't beat Rafa.

Jim Courier is the biggest Federer fan of all the commentators, but this year he gave the GOAT mantle to Nadal. So if he can switch, most Federer fans can switch (already have). It was all easily avoidable. The Federer fan base began the use of the fictional award "GOAT" and in the end every...
