    Best modern string machine convenience

the biggest thing going between the neos and my 3000 is how much smoother a design the 3000 is, motion is much more efficiently used which is partially a function of it being electric, and string almost never gets caught on the machine, i wish i could say the same for the neos

the thing with the neos is this: Its really that good, it just is, incarnations of it and its predecessors from way back when are still in sue today, it well made and mechanically sound, and a flat out work horse, its the pinnacle of work horse cranks

Do you reccomend this or not?

I see the appeal to new stringers but honestly i can weave with my eyes closed and without thinking, if anything is easier than the mains, this would just be cumbersome

Prince 3000 hold down stock modification

exactly, much like the top hold down on the neos 1000 which lacks wings, I simply did not want to spend $50 buying two of those, anyway... the wings obscure a few holes and make it a real pain to thread those holes, thus away with the wings

I finally had the time to do this modification to the hold down stocks on the prince 3000, The idea is taken from craig brotman who is a tour stringer stringing on prince machines (last I checked), If you have used the machine you know that the wings on the stocks can make seeing the holes...
