I stopped playing due to other priorities, so just stopped posting. The site is totally different now and, of course, the old curmudeons are long gone. I'm playing again so maybe I'll return to the board in full.
Sentinel, I see you referenced god in a thread so I thought I should reappear per your prediction...even though it looks like I am nearly seven years late.
What is the point of the photo if you aren't going to do it right? Rafa should be out of step ala Paul Mc. and Fed should be wearing all white ala John L. As it is, it just looks dumb.
Huh? Methyl B-12 is not crystal meth.
He asked if he should talk to his doctor about it. The answer is "yes, why not" although I doubt the doc will embrace the idea as Methyl B-12 is usually used in alternative med to help with autism/ASD or other disorders.
I didn't realize that capsiacin binds to the pain receptors and that milk helps detach it.
Having seen the videos, I am not sure I would ever attempt a ghost pepper, although I am curious.
Impressive. The Savina has a 500,000 scoville rating, which is really hot -- a jalepeno is under 10,000 as reference.
Here is the scale (the ghost pepper is the Naga Jolokia at the top of the list).
Anyone here ever tried one of these bad boys. They are the hottest pepper on earth -- check out these goofs:

The only reason Federer got fined was because the news picked it up and played it over and over again simultaneous with stories about Serena. They were trying really hard to make a story out of Federer.
If only they would allow players to emote then perhaps they wouldn't have to grunt so much...
Cole Haan, Johnston & Murphy, etc. are all good shoes. For the blazer it depends a bit on your build. For example, I can't wear Hart Schaffner Marx--the cut is to narrow at the shoulders, but Joseph Abboud is perfect (It seems I can wear anything by Abboud). Don't skimp on the blazer; it has...
How can one be wrong when you are debating a completely hypothetical match-up? You sound like the dweebs at the comic book store arguing whether the Hulk could take the Thing, or whether Superman could really beat the Flash in a running race -- at least in this case one can point to a real comic...
^^ it was great in the late 70's early 80's. We had draws of 64 or more all the time. Now you are lucky to more than 4.
Junior tournaments seem to be doing well (maybe 16 entrants per age group). I guess parents will still shell out $35 for their kid.
Borg's grip was moved over quite a bit, but I'm not sure if it was as extreme as Rafa's. Maybe so. The outcome sure looks different though. Rafa's racquet is whipping so fast that it is hard to find a picture of his grip that isn't blurred. Borg clearly had fantastic eye hand coordination to be...
When Nadal gets the most GS's then he will be GOAT regardless of who he plays or doesn't play. Unfortunately, longevity is not his strong suit so it really is a non-issue.
This is true. Roger is a better returner and managed to get his racquet on most of Roddick's serves, often with the result of a put away by Roddick.
I've never seen Andy play that well. It was something to watch. I especially enjoyed Andy's flat d-t-l backhands. Unbelievable. I also noted...
Real men also had to wear really uncomfortable shoes. Today you can slide on a pair of new shoes and go five sets. Back in the late 70s, they tore up your feet even after they were broken in. And that bit about leather grips and calloused hands...all true.
^^ you are correct in that you have many fewer options. The new rackets allow shots to be made that just weren't possible with wood. You really have to flatten out your strokes with wood or prepare yourself for many mishits. Full western grips need not apply.
"I am going to give my 200 percent to be ready for the most important tournament in the world," Nadal said. "I will not go out and play, especially on the Wimbledon Centre Court, if I am not 100 percent ready to play."
At least we know he will never be a math teacher...
^^ yes I was referring to you as Gracie would have immediately gone into guard position to control that attacker, and as effective as that would have been, it would have sent an entirely different image of Roger to the world.
Fed may be one of the most durable players of all time, considering how many matches he plays and how he stays injury free in an era where careers are getting shorter and shorter.
Ok, I must have misread. He definitely let the guy too close...Fed is probably well insulated and is likely not all that street smart. Maybe some basic self defense is in order...
