    Diary of a Racketaholic

Fellow holics, It´s been an interesting month for demoing, the Oktobertest, one week per frame, all strung with Luxilon Adrenaline at 24kg/53lb, here some thoughts: Head Auxetic Gravity Pro: Really solid racquet, good plow, plush but not mushy feel, one of the most controllable 100” frames...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I’m a long time Asics Gel Res and Speed user, but versions 8 and 9 are narrower, so I was forced to swich, and from all the shoes I’ve tried the Nike Court Zoom NXT are the best for me: fast, comfortable, and outstanding breathability in hot weather, but I agree with you, not the best stability...

Agreed, I hope he goes further in the tournament, although it seems like Carlos went there to grab the number one, and get some rest for RG.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

That was a cold handshake for sure, it is sad honestly. I don´t think it's a dispute over the money the YT channel generates, but who knows, I'd like some closure. They might not be the most insightful reviewers (highest playing level ones though) but their good vibes, fresh approach and fun...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Shift 315, I was also interested in the 300, but since I tend to prefer frames with more inbuilt control, and there were some reports of really low Sw (you know Wilson) opted for the 315, I think they must play similar, it is a racquet that takes time to get used, but it is growing on me. The...

I've been playing these for some time, still no clear winner, all three show promise. Good times for holicing.

    Wilson Pro Staff V14.0

PSX is growing on him, it was expected. You might be right, this frame can take very stiff strings and make them feel softish (not so sure about confort thogh).

    Diary of a Racketaholic

First hitting I thought PSX was super maneuverable, but in the end the specs don´t lie. “Heavier Blade” or “Blade Pro 100” kind of suits it.

No, and I'm pretty sure I'd like it, at the time I was playing with an extended H22, but was so hard to replicate that I found myself trying other extended frames, and the Dunlop was "obliterating" the competition on the TWU data, plus had the feel.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Hi guys, I’ve made a drastic technical change, and at least during this period I need something more manoeuvrable than my beloved Dunlops CX200+, also in my bag a couple of H22 and a V5 Blade 16x19. I got a 2022 Ezone 98 and the new Pro Staff v14 X, these are my thoughts: Ezone 98: Super...

Dunlop CX 200 Tour Play Test (Video Included) - Which is the best in the CX series?

Nice videos and cool backhand. You seem to play better with the Cx200 and the Cx400 tour. Dunlop has several gems in its line up of racquets.

    Tecnifibre grip shape mod

Really interesting racquets but that grip shape... I used Head TK82S pallets, they kind of work, but don't fit perfectly, there was 1mm gap between them.

    Yonex ezone 98 2022

L2. You are going to put a leather grip, Yonex base grip is really thin, so unless the leather grip you have in mind is that thin, it will increase the size of the grip. Be aware that the butt cap has little flair, so you'll have to build it up, or replace it with a Wilson butt cap.

    2023 Yonex VCores

Yonex grips run larger than other brands, (specially compared to Head, Prince, or Dunlop, no so much with Babolat and Wilson, but still noticeable). The thing is their butt caps have minimal flare, some players may feel they aren't any bigger if they focus on their ring and little finger.

    Whats most powerful 98? Ezone,Iga,or PD98

Dunlop Srixon CX200 + has both more power potential and hitting weight than any of those (if we take into account extended racquets). Hidden gem, however I think power with PD98 PA98 or EZ98 is easier to access.

    Evans - Kecmanovic.... OMG

Nice one, when I watched the video some BHs reminded me of "el rey David", then remembered who his coach is...

Does anyone have any Prostock rackets they like ?

H22, I have 3, specially one of them.

    Incredible Federer achievements!

Winning his first 7 GS finals is f awesome. Second best is "only" at 3.

All the best players use the same stuff

A better player will beat you no matter the racquet (regular specs). The question is, will he beat a version of himself playing a racquet better suited for his game?

Why does Yonex racquets feel Hollow ?

Good post, I think that hollow feel is more pronounced in wide beamed rackets.

    Will Alcaraz change everything?

His opponents do have to make adjustments to his signature combo of big groundstrokes and out of nowhere dropshots. Rune seemed inspired by that strategy against Zverev.

Carlos Alcaraz: "I remember the first I trained with Rafa…”

Some players are surprised by how hard Nadal hits during practice sessions.

    Peak Fed vs Peak Sampras

In the era of poly strings S&V is almost a frivolity, so Federer.

    Blade v8 16x19 vs 18x20

Even if there were (and without taking into account QC), it is more important which pattern you prefer, I think you can switch without many problems since both models have 8 mains in the centre.
