    4.0 or Over 35?

I would like to enter a tournament this summer, and I don't know if I should enter the 4.0 tournament or over 35? I'm 36 years old and would rather play adults than high school kids, but are the players in the over 35 tournament usually ex-college players who would wipe the court with me?

Secret Formula to Beat a Pusher!

    1. Hit more winners than the pusher, or 2. Hit fewer unforced errors Seriously, the way to beat a pusher is to get better at the fundamentals of tennis. If your shots and strategy are better, you will win. Tips like "get them to the net" or "make them hit passing shots" are really...

There's no logical reason NOT to use kevlar/synthetic gut

I couldn't agree more. I've played with poly hybids, full poly, and kevlar hybrids. Poly plays OK, but the quick tension loss is unacceptable. Kevlar is the perfect string for hard hitters who don't want to restring after almost every match. People say kevlar causes arm pain so they play...

    Poly Users

Why don't you use a kevlar hybrid? I have tried many brands of the co-polys and kevlar hybrids. Kevlar wins hands down. Same low power and spin production, but doesn't produce a trampoline effect when it loses tension. I am curious if you poly users have ever used kevlar, and if you have...

    Differnts between...

I believe there was once a time when everyone "knew" the sun revolved around the earth, and the earth was flat. Anyone thinking differently was labeled a heretic. How does this apply to tennis racquets and spin? You can "think" you know something based on how it seems logically, but until you...

    Toe Box Overhang

Anyone have experience with shoes that wear without the toe box overhanging the outside edge of the shoe? After a couple of months wearing a shoe, my toes start to slide over the outside edge of the shoe and become a sprained ankle hazzard. Just wondering if any other people who worry about...

    Is this common?

I serve left-handed, but hit groudstrokes right-handed. I can serve pretty well right-handed, but the left-handed serve is just more natural. Do any of you play this way or know of anyone else who does?

    Best string for holding tension

Has nobody out there tested strings for tension maintenance?

    Best string for holding tension

Besides natural gut, please give me a recommendation for a string that holds tension well. I have tried Gosen OG-micro 16, SPPP 16, and Cyberflash 16, all at 60 lbs. Each loses significant tension after only 2 hours and my shots start to fly on me.

    Your Experience Please

I am looking for a co-poly string that holds tension better than the generic Gosen OG-micro. I love the way it plays when fresh, but after only two hours the tension is way less and I start spraying balls. Has anyone else switched from synthetic gut to poly for this reason? What string...
