Racquet Recommendation - 29-year-old former advanced player getting back into tennis

Welcome (back) you can check out anytime you like but you can never leave… I predict you will be here 10 years later looking for the one :) and I say that with the best intentions… it’s just too much fun.

Racquet that gives you a heavier ball or one that puts more balls in court? Help me pick my racquet before season starts!

GPro is one of the best on the market. If you are looking for something completely different my second suggestion might be controversial but Pure Aero ORIGIN is best for what you are looking for. At your level I promise you that you can be effective with it at least try it. Dont let the numbers...

The HEAD Prestige is BACK Back

If you liked those wait until you try prestige pro 18x20. You can even have it in 16x19 in eu. I have not tried that but I am curious how it compares to already great 18x20

    Sebastian Korda new racquet

This is the way it’s done. I spoke with Angell few yrs ago about this and this is exactly what he said that layup changes slightly to compensate for different drill patterns.

    Wilson Blade V9 2024

Our individual experiences are useless as we all learned in these 9 generations. Spec changes from year to year are so minor that their qc or lack there of will offset any specs differences Wilson markets. It’s all about the paint these days as that would be your biggest change from year to year.

    Head Prestige 2023

I probably don’t post or play as much but I am definitely one of those that prefers prestige pro 2021 over pt2.0. Just felt like it was softer better feel and on top of it all somewhat easier to use. With sweet spot somewhere in between pt2.0 and gravity pro.

Pure Aero Tour vs. Pure Aero Rafa Origin

I find it easier to use than new pure aero 23. Of course I’m not playing for keeps but just felt a lot better. Felt optimized for lack of a better word.

Help need new frame switching from prestige pro 2021

If you want more pop BUT keep that sweet prestige-y feel gravity pro is a must try I found it that it works better with some weight in the handle to make it more whippy If you want lighter but pretty good feel vcore 97 310 Is good but perhaps too muted. If looking to get away from head feel...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Solinco Whiteout/Blackout XTD

During summer when it first came out I play tested it with TW strings and absolutely hated it thought it was trash. I suspected it could be the strings but wasn’t sure. Maybe I’ll take it out one more time

Carlos Alcaraz is using a stock Pure aero vs

You could say that about ANY pro yet virtually ALL of them use custom racquets you CAN NOT buy. It could be simple as Carlos team requesting Pure Aero 2016 Layup for million reasons or lower flexibility in the hoop due to his arm issues. Babolat will bake it for him and off he goes

Carlos Alcaraz is using a stock Pure aero vs

They key information here is flex and layup as we all know pro stock racquets are built with a custom layup and given how important is Carlito to Bab brand future he might be playing with 55RA Pure Aero VS...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

So just came back from real court time not just wall time and it's not as good as I had hoped to be. Feel is 100% improved but in a weird way. It's like not enough pop or not enough comfort. It's like middle of the road. Really disappointing. Serves are usually my weapon and it felt anemic. Felt...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

Here is something I noticed. New Aero vs with gut feels similar at impact to 23 Pure Aero with rpm blast. They really did a good job with comfort this time around.

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

Pure drive feels a lot firmer on contact. Aero is muted almost rubbery feel to it. More pop from pure drive at least feeling of pop due to stiffness.
