    Predict the 2015 Slams

If everyone is fully fit and healthy I'd go: Aus - Nadal French - Nadal Wimbledon - Novak US Open - Cilic (why not twice)

Is this the worst US Open you've ever seen?

Would that have actually happened though? If he was healthy and had made it through to play Cilic (semis presumably) and was playing well then he would have beaten him. The humidity was sapping and Nadal makes you play and play and play. If it was 2009 Rafa hitting short then it could have been...

Is this the worst US Open you've ever seen?

I loved last year's final personally, including the 54 stroke break point rally. Great final full of ups and downs that should have gone to 5 probably. Completely different level to yesterday's final.

Wimbledon 2014 R64: Lukas Rosol vs Rafael Nadal [2]

Just looked at the draw and Rafa has a very good route through to the semis now. I genuinely haven't even heard of the likely next two opponents for him. I also don't see Wawrinka or Federer posing too much opposition in the semis. I think Rafa has a genuine shot now.

Wimbledon 2014 R64: Lukas Rosol vs Rafael Nadal [2]

When has he ever looked good first week at Wimbledon though? Wait until week 2 when the courts dry out and the bounce is higher. His draw is fairly kind, if he can get to next week unscathed.

Wimbledon 2014 R64: Lukas Rosol vs Rafael Nadal [2]

Maybe Rosol just likes playing Rafa. Likes the higher bouncing ball, etc. Maybe he is his kryptonite.

Wimbledon 2014 R64: Lukas Rosol vs Rafael Nadal [2]

Problem is this set is almost over so he only has to serve like it for another 30 mins or so and it's game over.

Wimbledon 2014 R64: Lukas Rosol vs Rafael Nadal [2]

Still no idea why he does this. He hates it, it isn't effective on a grass court and it just sh*t to watch. Sign of lacking in confidence.

Lightning won't strike twice. Not a chance.

Wimbledon 2014 R128: Martin Klizan vs Rafael Nadal [2]

Not watching as at work. Quick synopsis so far anyone? How is Rafa playing?

Wimbledon - The Championships - 2014 - General Discussion Thread

If Rafa can get to the 2nd week and the british summer stays as it is so far (hot and sunny) then the courts will cut up and play more like a clay court 2nd week, then Rafa comes into his own. Queens was very slow recently. Much slower than Halle. If he gets to the 2nd week, I think Rafa will...

So apart from the LH bit, just about as bad an opponent as Rafa could have then.

Klizan is LH I think. Rafa at least never loses to LH'ers. Maybe the draw isn't so bad.

Klizan I know not much about. Can anyone describe him? Rosol is actually quite a good draw for Rafa as Rosol will never play that well again.

Wimbledon - The Championships - 2014 - General Discussion Thread

As a Rafa fan, I still have zero faith him coming through any match at W this year. Players have seen that if you come out swinging then you may just pull it off. Dustin Brown was hitting 120mph 2nd serves every time in Halle and they were going in. Ok so the tactic might backfire, but Rafa may...

Halle 2R: [1] Rafael NADAL (ESP) vs Dustin BROWN (GER)

Grass just doesn't suit his game. Personally I am amazed he has won 2 Wimbledons and got to 5 finals, and won Queens because his game is a horrible match for grass.

Halle 2R: [1] Rafael NADAL (ESP) vs Dustin BROWN (GER)

If Rafa can't bend his knees like last year then he may as well not show up for any grass court tournaments. But he has said that won't be the case this year.

Halle 2R: [1] Rafael NADAL (ESP) vs Dustin BROWN (GER)

Is it even logistically possible to play the 2nd rd of an ATP 250 on Thurs when the final is Sunday?

how does djokovic regain whatever he had in 2011?

You say this every year. Bit boring now isn't it? Was he subpar in the US Open final last year too?

    2014 Aegon Championships - Queen's Club

Serious? He just got absolutely battered in Paris and has no (recent) grass or hardcourt form to speak of at all?

Halle 2R: [1] Rafael NADAL (ESP) vs Dustin BROWN (GER)

I am not sure how physically demanding that final was. 3hr 45 mins. Rafa was tired in parts but a lot of it is mental I think.

Halle 2R: [1] Rafael NADAL (ESP) vs Dustin BROWN (GER)

I am still p*ssed off with Rafa for not playing Queen's (given I am from England).

Djokovic said he was feeling fatigued

This 100% fit thing is a myth. No tennis player goes on court 100% fit. That is almost impossible for any professional sportsman. 90% is pretty good going to be honest. All we can say is that when both are at their best on that RG court, Rafa is the better player. I am not sure anyone can...

Will Djokovic ever win the French Open?

Thing is, Rafa gobbles up power players. He just wasn't playing well in 2009 at all. Knees weren't right and he wasn't anywhere near his best. Soderling played well but Rafa was way off the pace.

Will Djokovic ever win the French Open?

We say this every year but every year it happens again and we get people commenting that Rafa has lost it, he's too slow, lost a step, not consistent etc. The thing people have to remember is that Rafa has taken long breaks out injured in the last few years, so doesn't have as many miles on the...

Djokovic Fans should not be down

Sorry but how was Djokovic "injured" exactly? I am a bit fed up with Djokovoc fans whining on about injury every time their guy loses. It's ridiculous.

    2014 French Open Final: Nadal (1) V Djokovic (2)

Give it a rest. Hardly a surprise the 8 time champion beat the guy who had never won it. Can't always be luck, gamesmanship, etc.
