why not prestretch poly? ive seen from other posters that it helps in the slowing of the loss of tension.
ps: im also using gosen polylon sp but for a full string job not just the mains, w/ M's @ 55 lbs, X's @ 57 on a a n6.1 90

<--owns an X-2
go for the 6 pt mounting system im not that big of a fan of the x-2 cauz of the gripper for the string, its like diamond coated or something so its rough, so it kind of strips away a lil bit of the string, but dont worry, it hasnt caused any of my strings to pop yet, (not sure...
my question is which racquet deforms the least of the ones i listed before? b/c im sick of dealing with the head racquets that deform after i say abt 10 string jobs.
The racquets i listed above are the ones I would like to demo as replacements for my LM prestige MIDs, unless you guys have a...
Hi people,
I currently own 2 LM presitges and they are beginning to deform slightly. I currently use the Gamma X-2 stringer, which isnt that great of a stringer b/c of the 2 pt mounting, crappy clamps, and the string gripper which destroys strings. So my question is this:
Which brand of...
sorry i saw this so late, I actually own an X-2 and it took me a loooong time to figure out how to string racquets. I actually tension 1.5 strings each way when I do it, but if you can buy a starting clamp or find/make a starting pin.
well i have prestiges and i usually string at 60 so i dropped it down to 54 on the mains and 55 on the crosses b/c i like the stiff feeling...(heh, sorry had to laugh), but yea the ALU will seem very VERY tight on your first few hits, so i agree to drop it down to 52 b/c itll feel like its...
hey guys
i didnt purchase any strings yet but i was considering:
for high end if i feel like spending a bit of $
mains: lux alu power
crosses: technifibre nrg 2?
im not sure which multi i want because ive only tried one before, the head fibergel one
or el cheapo
mains: ashaway...
Hey guys my friend just bought a flexpoint Radical Tour and he told me to string it for him but i have no specs on the racquet. Do you know where i can find them?
I checked TW but all i cold find was which holes to skip but no tie off nor string length information.
Thanks!
ive broken 2 smartzorbs when i first learned how to play with an i.x6...=X
but on a good note...i found 3 dampeners on the floor here at my school haha
one babolat one...its good just that it falls off a lot
a pete sampras O...doesnt do much for me...i still hear the vibration
and...
wow, you strung a LM prestige at 68? no deformities?
But yea ive used prestiges for abt a year now,
ive tried the following strings:
wilson extreme 17 syn gut - *cough* crap *cough*...who said that?
prince original syn gut 16 - prob the best syn guy
head syn gut 16 - eh
head...
yea, my strings always come out a bit loose at the ends, i try to compensate by adding 5lbs to the end strings, but one problem, i use LM prestiges, so my old prestige actually got deformed, (became shorter and wider). =X
I recently purchased two used head LM prestiges, (if you were looking at the wanted forum, i finally got em...) =), but anyway, the guy did not send me the shocks for the prestiges. I would really like to find a place where i can get the head logo II dampeners. But if not im open to a new type...
