    I would love some advice

I'd get new strings in the racket. new strings can never hurt. if the problem persists it may actually be the frame itself. As a frame gets old, regardless of whether or not it is used frequently, it will wear and lose some of it's pop. So, try some fresh strings, and i that doesn't help, then...

    Forehand topspin

What grip are you using? Also, a little more wrist action goes a long way.

How do I hit a better forehand?

a friend of mine helped me out with a similar problem. try this, when you swing through the ball, emphasize extending the tip of you racquet after contact. also, try pumping some iron.

    Junior Tournaments.

What age group and level do you play at? Nearly every person in the 16s draw and below is a moonballer, and half of the kids in the 18s. That is if you are playing a level five. I played in a L4 this weekend and i finally got the kind of play i was looking for i.e. people who actually play.

    Swinging Hard

Almost any raquet is worth a demo, and it should be left up to your son if he wants to demo or switch raquets. And as for the whole inconsistency thing when he swings faster, the timing will come with repetition and trial and error.

best piece of advice you've ever recieved

"Do not stoop to thier level unless absolutely necessary." This advice was given to me at a hs match afew years ago when my opponent called 3 clean winners in a row out (one of which was 6 inches inside the sideline). There was noone present who could judge the lines without bias, so i told...

Why do so many players choose to receive?

Behind you 100%. I have a great serve that will win me alot of points, and set up alot of easy winners. Recieving first helps to knock out the nerves and helps me alot during the rest of the match.

    motivating partner in doubles

I am a proponent of high fiving and afew positive words every now and then, but every point might be a little much. And just a few positive words are all that is necessary, not a lesson on how to hit a particular shot.

    Between the Legs shot

Have you ever tried hitting one before this? I'd sy practice on your own, if even for just afew minuets to get your bearings with the shot. But Rickson is right, listen to him.

Overgrip immediately. that way you won't have to shell out 10-15 bucks to replace the origional grip if you screw it up too much.

[Moved] Annoying "Gear Heads" in Tennis

Yeah, basically. I played in a tournament this past weekend, and just about everbody there (even the kids playing in the 10's and 12's) had the fancy clothes and fancy raquets. Except for the ones who were good. Notice how usually all of the people who play inn tournaments and use the super...
