Nadal didnt beat Soderling..Soderling beat himself.

Soderling has a great serve and power. Take away the serve, 50% of your game is gone. Rafa returned too many of Soda's serves too well. Meant Robin had more work to do. Lets not forget it was no easy ride for Robin to beat Thomas B. That match could have gone either way. Robin played a good...

So who's looking forward to seeing Nadal lose his first RG final?

uRHM... eh...you were saying?? Vamos to the King of Clay!

How would you play Soderling if you were Rafa

It's true there are things I'd like to see Rafa do to beat Robin S tomorrow. However, Soderling has been just exactly where this clay season? So others have beaten him too. Rafa will probably (whether to his detriment or not) play his own game and try to disect Soderlings, the way Rafa always...

Nadal Will Not Reach FO 2010 Final

    You were saying OddJack????

So who's looking forward to seeing Nadal lose his first RG final?

Who cares if he loses tomorrow. He made the final and soon he'll no. 1 :) Again dethroning the so called GOAT. :) Vamos Rafa!

If Soderling beats Nadal in the final who will be the real King of Clay?

What a silly question. How many clay titles does Soderling have? How many clay titles does Rafa have? Also, how many times has Rafa beaten Federer on clay? Case closed.

    ==The Soderling Bandwagon===

I' m not jumping on the bandwagon I am faithful to the Spanish Armada. But, I am thoroughly enjoying the tennis he is displaying this RG. Last year's final was disappointing.

Murray- will everyone finally shut up about him?

One of these days Murray will surprisei everyone and win a Grand Slam. My pick? The US Open.:)

RG 2010 SF: Robin Soderling [5] vs Tomas Berdych [15]

I hope it's a cracker match. Both are on top of their game and Berdych so solid, good mover and plays at the net as if it's grass. It's all up to whether Soderling's precision can continue. you can belt the hell out of the ball if it's an on day. But have an off day and they'll all go out. What...

    Congrats Soderling & Federer

Absolute congrats to Soderling. I was not a fan because he only seems to peak at RG. But to beat Federer the way he did today was incredible. Great power, precision and guts. Chapeau! Of course that Roger loses points and no.1 probably sooner is also part of my motivation of course. But...

The jury of L'Equipe voted Nadal - the best clay court player of the Open Era

Nice article, thanks for posting. I'm sure give Rafa a few more years on clay and he'll be way out above Borg.

FO 2010 R128: Andy Murray [4] vs Richard Gasquet

Gasquet is too tired and the errors are just taking over now. Pity for him but it's been a great match. What a backhand, one of the most beautiful in the game, when it's working. As for Murray. I'm quite sure he could beat Fed on clay if he's having a good day. Great returner, gets everything...

Nadal to play 1st match on Lenglen, Roddick to start on Chatrier

Me too. I can't beleive they'd do that.

FO 2010 R128: Andy Murray [4] vs Richard Gasquet

Wow this is some seriously good tennis. I wonder if Gasquet wins if he'll have enough steam for the whole tournament. I'm sure Murray is going to go for the 3rd set. We're in for a sizzling set I think :)

What makes tennis boring to watch

Too many aces. yawn yawn. No play it's like bowling, hitting a strike everytime and not having a second go. :(

Djokovic the biggest underachiever in the game today?

Djoko has been in the top 3 for how long? He could even become no. 1 if he won RG. Where's the underachiever?

Yeah I wonder why Nando isn't on the list? Djokovic also of course has a chance.

I really like Gulbis. When he plays well he's great to watch and he has a great attitude.

Almagro has the best OHBH in tennis right now

I don't know about the op, but I'd say Almagro has steadily improved over the last year and he put up a great fight against Nadal.

    He's Rafa

Nice pics. That's our man again! I'm glad his Dad was there today to support him. Rafa is back and he's in form and his bag is getting heavy from the titles again. Vamos Campeon!

Dream FINALE! Nadal vs Federer! MADRID2010

OUR MAN DID IT AGAIN! Vamos Rafa! What a match....oh oh oh, I can't WAIT for Roland Garros 5 setters :)

If Fed loses to Rafa in Madrid, what does it prove?

It proves that Rafa is his strongest rival and has the best stats against him! :)

Will Rafa skip Madrid this time

I think he should skip Madrid and just concentrate on RG. Health and knees first.

Rafael Nadal vs Robin Soderling - Round Robin - World Tour Finals 2009

I knew it was going to be tough for Rafa, but he will beat Soderling again. 64 64 not a bad score. Still I think the group is going to have an interesting outcome. Something tells me. I don't think Soderling will get through.
  26. tahiti

Rank these three in terms of return game:

I'd have to go along with the ATP stats as they are at least factual.

Is it me or does Nadal suck now?

Yeah Nadal really sucks right now. That's why he's no. 2 in the world and has caught up again in points behind Roger. All this despite having lost massive points in his RG escapade and failure to defend at Wimbledon. Really sucks. :) If Nadal sucks I'd hate to think how the rest of the guys...

2009 will be the heaviest fall schedule of Nadal's career: could that backfire?

It is a heavy autumn schedule but considering he had a long break, I think he's up for it. He probably didn't realise though, in coming back, that he'd be back so soon in the top ends of the tournaments. That being said, I know Djoko played really well in the Paris SF today, but Rafa didn't...

monfils athltic abilitys are so awsome!!

Yes, he is amazing and so much fun to watch! It's that lanky body of his too that makes it easier to define every movement he makes. But his character adds to it too, because even though he sometimes doesn't have to jump for a shot. He does, just for fun. All hail Monfils, I dig this guy :)

    Nadal the underdog

Thank you Claylover, I appreciate your rationality. People who paint over all fans with one brush or resort to name calling are TOO obsessed in my opinion. I absolutely agree, that it's Nadal being the underdog, coming in as a teenager straight from 50 or so to no. 2 and holding that spot for...
