    Copper Ace variations?

Mold, layup, grommets, even weight and balance seem almost identical. However the stiffness seems different. Also 3 very different paintjobs. Not sure the significance of that. But I'd love to know why lol

    Copper Ace variations?

So I have encountered these three variations of the copper ace: Gloss with double stripe Gloss with bright orange single stripe Matte with single stripe It seems that the matte version is the most common. Are these different model years? Any spec differences? Looking for a pro kennex 80s...

    Pro Kennex Ace Series

There is already a great thread on this with some info that I compiled. However, the thread was started in '07 and the classic racquet talk thread was formed in '09. So I'm creating a thread here. I'm gonna need some serious help from everyone! I know there are quite a few classic PK owners out...

    ProKennex Ace series

Also on a side note, I'm curious if anyone has a 14 x 18 pattern that is NOT a widebody. I saw in one thread a guy had a Targa in a 14 x 18. Can't find any others. Seems like its just 95 widebodies that had 14 x 18. Again, my research is probably terrible. Any help would be appreciated!

    ProKennex Ace series

Resurrecting this old thread. I'm gonna need some serious help from everyone! I know there are quite a few classic PK owners out there. I'm looking to compile specs. I'm probably wrong on a lot of these. Any help would be appreciated. Additionally, I would love a tier ranking from anyone who...

Shoes for Sliding on Hard Courts! HELP ANDY!!!

In a review of the babolat propulse, Andy stated that he had an issue with the medial side of the upper due to his sliding on a hard court. I slide a TON on a hard court, I have the exact same issue. I have only had one shoe EVER that has not been destroyed in the medial side of the upper...

    Best Har-Tru Tennis Ball

What about the special coating on the Dunlop and Wilson balls? Sounds like Scotch Guard basically... The Har-Tru courts I'll be playing on are sub-irrigated and are more damp than the average Har-Tru court. I'm worried about the balls playing heavy and getting too wet. LOL maybe I should get...

    Best Har-Tru Tennis Ball

Looked at a bunch of threads and reviews. Looks like its an even tie between Dunlop Fort Clay and Wilson Tour Clay Green. I know that the Dunlop ball is used at the masters 1000 clay events. And I know that the Wilson ball is made for Har-Tru, but I can't really find out what makes it different...

    Donnay Allwood Question

I don't think I'll need to go to a JR racquet. I know the light version "2" is 13oz strung. So I assume the superlight version "0" would have to be even lighter than that. Probably somewhere around 12oz or maybe even 11.5 oz. Who knows? Hopefully someone reading this right now....

    Donnay Allwood Question

I have a question about the differences between the Donnay Allwood variants. I'm interested in the light and superlight versions. It looks like superlight has a "0" sticker next to it. The light has a "2" sticker on it. And of course it just goes up from there. I am also curious about the...

    Looking for specific racquet!!! HELP!

I'm looking for a racquet that has a few specific specs: -small headsize (90sq max) -very dense string pattern (18x20 minimum) -headlight (5 points minimum) -not wood -heavy (11.5 ounces minimum) Any of you racquet buffs have an idea of what could work? I have had some success using the...

Wilson Shoe designed for Hard Court sliding. Any word on this?

I've had them for over a month now. I really do love them! I don't really notice any "easier" sliding. I can slide in pretty much every tennis shoe, even casual shoes. What I did notice is that all the areas that have been discussed in this thread regarding extra durability is for real! I...

Wilson Shoe designed for Hard Court sliding. Any word on this?

The ability to slide is what helps save the knees. Grass and clay are both soft surfaces, but clay has low injury reports and grass has the most. Why? Because grass is dangerous to slide on due to the inconsistent slide because of slick spots. Its the slide that really matters...

Wilson Shoe designed for Hard Court sliding. Any word on this?

OOOOOHHHH please do submit pics. Specifically pics of the inside part of the shoe like in this photo. You see that adorable little adiTuff triangle? Yeah...I rip a hole twice as big as that triangle in about 1 month. I hope the Wilson Glide has a huge and durable pad there! I slide very...

Wilson Shoe designed for Hard Court sliding. Any word on this?

hahahaha liability? are you serious? thats like someone suing air jordan when they trip and fall trying to dunk. Every high level player slides on a hardcourt. Its a more effective way to move, its easier on the knees, and the only thing it damages are the shoes. Its the movement of the future...

Better Point: Matt Lin or TeamOB

To me this is very very safe, and weak tennis. I'm seeing a lot of shots dropped right in the middle of the court. I'm not a fan of super aggressive tennis (blasting the ball as hard as you can every shot). However, I do teach my students to, at the very least, keep your opponent uncomfortable...

Shot Stats - Technology for your Racket

I'm surprised that this technology hasn't gotten more interest (especially with all of the buzz surrounding Babolat Play). Nothing wrong with the Babolat Play, I'd just rather have something that I can use multiple racquets. I think this would be very useful when demoing racquets. I prefer...

    Breaking in barricade V... Literally.

Yes, this has happened to mine. My pair lasted me 3 weeks. Then I had a hole in the outsole (near toe), a hole on the left Adiwear pad, and the issue that you are describing. The re-issue is simply not the same. At this time, I have to say that the most durable shoe on the market is the...
