Generally speaking, is Natural Gut worth the price?

Yes. The tension maintenance is good, and the playability lasts as long as the string. Polyester loses playability way too fast for me. But I don't hit with a ton of spin, so I don't go through strings as fast as many others.

Which string breaks first? The Mains or the Cross?

I've never broken cross strings, even with hybrids. It's always mains slightly above center, which is where I hit most of my shots.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks. I really like the idea of isolating a single variable and testing just for that at one time. It might take a little longer with that kind of methodical approach, but it's still going to be fun.

Hello, all. I haven't played much tennis in 15 years and have slowly been getting back to playing, but I need some new sticks. I've got a bigger than avg. serve (I think), decent semi-semi-western (yeah, somewhere in the middle) forehand, avg. net skills, and a sub-par two-handed backhand. I...

    best shoe colour?

What happened to white tennis shoes, though? It'd be nice if I could get some modern technology without all the super hyper neon volt flash.

prince graphite classic longbody back in stock!

I hit mine today. It was so solid. I didn't really need to make an adjustment because I played with longbody rackets. I can't compare it to the previous version of the Graphite Longbody because I haven't hit that, but it definitely has a similar feeling to the old POG midplus rackets. It is much...

TW Reviews: NEW Wilson Six One 95 Racquets

It sounds like a great racket, but it looks so cheap (and not in a good way). Of course, I'd still like to give it a try, but the appearance gives it more obstacles to overcome to get in my bag.

I don't care about specs if it feels and plays right.

    Skin rubs off – help?

Have you ever tried the blister blocking Band-Aids? I used them for golf. They're supposed to be used after you get blisters, but I found them to be pretty good at preventing them also.

Tension when converting to poly from ProBlend

Yeah, I should probably be looking for some good old POGs. Those were my favorite. The racket is powerful, but I've had the ProBlend on there also, at around 60lbs, which was okay. So it isn't completely the racket. But I'll try to some lower tensions and see how it works. Thanks a lot.

Tension when converting to poly from ProBlend

I'm trying to get back into the game after a long layoff. I do have arm problems now that I didn't have before, so I'm thinking of going to a slightly softer string. I have always liked a harsher impact, so I don't think I would mind a stiff poly too much. I don't have a ton of power, but I like...
