Can I play for an Ivy League?

Maybe consider looking at some of the lower ranked NESCAC schools if playing tennis is important to you. A school like Colby or Trinity would offer excellent academics and you'd have a much better chance of playing in the lineup at some point. If you look at who has already signed at the Ivy's...

Yonex Dr 98 vs Babolat Pure Strike 16x19 (project one7)

+1. That's the reason that I'm switching to the Pure Strike. The EZone DR is a great racquet for a lot of reasons, but compared to the pure strike is more of a muted, flexible, controlled feel. I ultimately chose the Pure Strike because of the extra pop and power on ground strokes.

Yonex Dr 98 vs Babolat Pure Strike 16x19 (project one7)

For those that hit with both, what did you feel the optimal string tension was for each? I use Hyper-G 16L, strung up both at 52 lbs and hit with both side by side. My immediate reaction was that I leaned toward the PS17, but I had been hitting with the EZone prior to that and really liked it...

    Lucky me! Nice find.....

This is hands down the best Nike store that I've been to. In the past, I've been able to buy LB 1's for $56, Vapor 9.5 for $48, and they always have a great selection of running gear and apparel. I generally call the store to see when they're going to have an extra 20% off shoes sale, which...

    Are full rides likely?

For a 4.0 NTRP rating; you might not even play lineup at most division III schools to be honest. Across the board; college tennis is getting more competitive and 4.5 is fairly standard for most Division III teams that are average-above average. That's not to say that you couldn't train hard and...

    Nike Exclusives US Open 2015

Minor detail... But the picture of the Lunar 1.5s makes it look like the swoosh near the front of the shoe is the same color as the outsole? All of the other pictures make it look like it's just an all-black upper with a colored outsole.

    Lulu lemon clothes

+1 in support of Lululemon. They make a significantly superior product when compared to both Nike and Adidas. I was the biggest Lululemon hater out there until a year or so ago. I had just bought a few Nike shirts and within a few weeks, the logos were peeling off of the chest, which, let's be...

    Jack Sock's Racquet!

So does that mean that Johnson's 2013 version has the same upgrade that you guys did with the Aero Pro from 2010-2013? (i.e. Active Cortex, graphics, etc). I was curious if there was an actual 2013 version that just never hit market.

Just bought myself a Babolat Aero Storm Tour, string advice?

I've never felt like it was short on spin generation. I am coming from the V Core Tour 310 and V Core Tour G 310, so compared to those, i found a lot more spin on second serve and ground strokes. If you end up not liking this stick, feel free to shoot me a message on it.

Just bought myself a Babolat Aero Storm Tour, string advice?

I had used the Aero Storm Tour about 3 years ago and just switched back to it about a month or two ago. I've been stringing with Solinco Tour Bite (17g) mains, and Wilson Extreme (16g) crosses, both at 54 pounds. I have not had any arm discomfort, but had previously had some when I used a full...

    Lucky me! Nice find.....

I was at the Nike Clearance store in Kissimmee, Florida this past week. Was able to pick up the Gray/Mint Vapor 9.5 for $49, and the teal blue Lunar Ballistics for $56. They had the regular outlet price, plus 30% off.

Post Pictures of your Racquets and Tennis Gear

The bag is actually nicer than I thought. The materials are nice and the size is great because it isn't too big or too small. If I have to list a con, I would say that it doesn't keep shape quite as well as the Aero 12 pack bag that I previously used. The sides collapse after you use it with...

Yonex Ai 98: tell me more about her

I haven't seen as much talk about string choice. I just got my two frames today and am stringing them both at 55 lbs. with Tour Bite 16L. Anybody else using Tour Bite or have any comments about their strings? I will experiment with lead after hitting with it a few times in stock.

Yonex Ai 98: tell me more about her

So is it too identical to consider switching? What do you see as being the playability differences, and feel differences. Different flex, different balance, so I'm curious to hear how the ai98 plays in comparison to the VCT97

Yonex Ai 98: tell me more about her

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but can anyone offer a proper comparison between the ai98 and the VCore Tour 97 310g? Thanks.

    Yonex VCore Tour G

I just put in my order to get 3 of the VCore Tour G in the 310g weight. I currently hit with the VCore Tour 97 310g, and I think it's the best racquet I've ever played with. After trying the Pure Control Tour for a few days last week, I've been reminded how much I love the Yonex racquets.

    Yonex VCore Tour G

I agree. It would have made a lot more sense to release the G before the Aussie Open, or at least keep Stan in the old red V Core Tour so that there wasn't a difference in what is being sold vs. what he is using.

Anyone heard anything more about a U.S. release date? I currently hit with the Tour 97 310g, and love it. I'm really excited to hit with the new VCore Tour G!

    Yonex 110% Loyalty Tour

V Core Tour 97 (310g) is the first Yonex that I've ever hit with. Incredibly impressed with everything about the stick. A few small things that I appreciate: firstly, thank you Yonex for a generous length on the handles. I can't stand using a racquet with a short handle. The four V Core Tour 97...

    Bonjour from Babolat

Were you inside the MW sports tent at all today? I was in around 4 or 5 and was asking some is the reps inside about information on the Pure Stryke and the Pure Storm (Control) for 2014. Unfortunately they did their job and didnt give me any info or act like there was any information to be given...

    T Fight 315?

We are using almost an identical setup. I currently have mine set up with 2g at 3 and 9, and 1g at 12. I string my sticks with Tour Bite 17 at 51. What were the biggest differences in performance when you changed to more lead on your T-Fight? I'm contemplating adding more weight but not sure...
