2023 Wimbledon SF: Novak Djokovic vs. Jannik Sinner

Sinners mindless ball bashing is off the scale

Remember when folks used to love pro tennis?

Covid destroyed sports in general for me, it made it all seem so insignificant playing in front of no fans. Haven't really got back into it since.

    Djokovic

Reminiscent of Murray's match against Roger at TMC 08'

    Federer officially retiring (serious)

Even though in reality it was so close and expected I’m still completely shocked he’s actually called it

Should Federer have retired in 2019?

Yeah he really needs the money

Which Player has Displayed the Highest Level of play at the US Open In Your Opinion?

I think that 'so-so' backhand was just an illusion from the forehand being so dominant.

Which Player has Displayed the Highest Level of play at the US Open In Your Opinion?

I find it very hypocritical of Djokovic fans when they rave about his performance against Ferrer at AO 13' SF as one of, if not his greatest performance ever and one of the highest levels of tennis seen but when it comes to Roger's match against Hewitt in USO 04' its something along the lines of...

Nadal is arguably the best thing to ever happen to tennis

Just like the entire premise of the thread is - just another my favourite is better than your favourite.

Nadal is arguably the best thing to ever happen to tennis

What do you mean you don't buy into the propaganda exactly? Is it that you really just hate the media bias? Or you just generally don't like the way Federer plays/acts?

Is this the greatest redlining performance ever?

The Tsonga match against Nadal AO 08' was also one of the greatest red lining performances I've seen.

Thank you Del Potro for the memories

Was lucky enough to have been at his match against Roger at the WTF's in 2013. Will stay long in the my memory and he will be sorely missed.

    Delpo to retire

'hanging' with doesn't mean beating them. He consistently gave them all a tough time.

Djokovic stood by Australia when it mattered. How quickly we forgot..

You are so far up Novak's behind you can see the back of his teeth
  17. TJfederer16

    Djokovic 2007/08 VS Djokovic 2021

Not on those courts he wouldn't, those courts at 04' USO were lightning quick.

Can we demote this wimbledon to a 250 event

What on earth are you talking about? Federer just making it through 5 best of 3 matches was a surprise. Talking about Rogers competition at this years championships in his situation considering all the issues and time out is completely irrevalent. If Roger was in great form, free of injuries and...

the most complete spiritual nutcase yes

The Splendid Seven - Federer 2015

You put may too much stock into that off the cuff quote from Roger in 2015.

do you think roger federer 's ground stroke is overrated sometimes ?

USO 07' final is not a good representation of Roger's ground strokes. He played pretty average but was incredibly clutch in the big moments. Just because you watched one match where his ground strokes weren't at their best does not suddenly equate to them being overrated....

AO 2012 Fed vs AO 2012 Djokovic ?

Lol early 2010 Djokovic was a train wreck, peak of his awful bowling action serve, could barely play a 5 setter without throwing up and a mental wreck.
  24. TJfederer16

When Nadal saved 5 MP's to win a title.....

Not as epic as David's 07' Paris/Madrid double demolition though

Roger Federer hits practice court on a Melbournelike surface

Doesn't matter? The most recent matchups are always the most relevant. Since that Australian Open bar Roland Garros he dropped just one set in their last four meetings.
