    Old School Head's

if your gonna have that many heads you need at least one stringing machine, right? ha ha ha nice collection. I don't have any PC 600, but i did fall in love with the Head graphite Pro for a good 4 years, before going back to the PS6.1.

    head prestige tour 600 question

Got one, not in the greatest of shape and perhaps i should ask for a little refund, but is the collar at the top of the handle essential? it basically crumbled to pieces after I had taken off the overgrip tape. there is now a gap at the top of the handle now before the painted part of the...

    Wilson ProStaff Original 85

nice racquet and cat i've played with the 85, it's a great racquet, I really do believe it has something to do with the the idea that you have to actually watch the ball, smaller head size will do that for sure. I've had this racquet like 10 times and have had as many as 5 at one time, I now...

    Prince graphite 4 stripe 90

the first time i played with the prince graphite I was 14 and it was heavy, couldn't get the fast swing at all, decided to sell it... bought one a week ago for $4, didn't remember a 14x18 sting pattern either, anyway this sucker is light as heck, had to add lead just to make it feel heavier, now...

perfect now strung it up again, went with old school 2 piece at 57lbs of forten sweet 17g, added lead at 3-9 and 4- 1inch strips in the handle, full leather from TW. Been about a week now with this set up and it rocks. Very firm with tactile type flex, serves are the bomb, hitting at least 2...

head prestige pro euro brown version

i'll restring and go from there, maybe an 18g will get me some better spin. would adding some lead in the power spots help as well, as far as lead placement goes it feels like the handle is where the weight should go, am I wrong?

head prestige pro euro brown version

i strung the racquet at 62lbs with forten sweet 17 gold full set, don't get me wrong my everyday racquet is the wilson prostaff 6.1 95, i have played with with liquid metal prestige and 2 of the prestige pro before the newest versions so it can't be the grip shape. I like the weight of the...

head prestige pro euro brown version

Actually found one, prestige pro dark redish-brown, vibration control system, 4 3/8 grip size, brown cap and nice structure, my question is why does it feel mushy? to my understanding it's made of graphite and tawron or something like that, and the feel is suppose to be awesome, is it just age?

Old-school feel, weight and stability with good maneuverability and modern spin

nothing beats a wilson prostaff 6.1 or a 6.0 95, but the hyper carbon 95 tour can also do wonders.

Wilson HYPER PROSTAFF 6.0 95 with the HPS6.1 95 Paintjob

No, the racquets had the paint job of the racquet above, but you know what they were 6.0 85sqin. versions, I think FEDFOREHAND was the guy that bought them from me.

Wilson HYPER PROSTAFF 6.0 95 with the HPS6.1 95 Paintjob

i had 2 of these racquets back in 2006, bought both for $120 i think in the east bay, ca area. I thought they were nothing like the PS 85, lighter and it actually felt stiffer. But i do wish I held on to them, I still play with the PS85 and nothing compares.

    Suggested String Tension Yonex R-22

stick with syn gut your best bet is to stick to the old syn guts, like prince syn gut original or gosen syn gut or even wilson syn... these older racs like the old syn. guts, as far as tenison, i'd go with 56-58lbs. I use the r-22, I tried to use the multi-stuff and lux's of the world, never...

    I'm done, all is good

Just wondering if anyone is with me and has found or completed their own personal racquet quest... I have found and established that the Wilson prostaff 6.1 classic truly is an extension of my arm. It took 18 years and 3 eras of "hello", "goodbye" & "welcome back" but like so many players, no 2...

    what is holding wawrinka back?

I'm gonna say "ease of movement"... he does not flow, he looks stressed out there, I think the divorce has set his game back, tennis and life are connected, his game is very nice, his mental game is sound, it's just life and the way he plays in it.

Found a Yonex R-22 at Goodwill

thats awesome lucky you, your going to like the racquet, since I've tried it I liked it and now have 5 of them in rotation, playing 4.5 and 5.0 tournaments with them as well. What you'll like most is your kick serve with this racquet. Have fun, I suggest a tension of 58 lbs and a classic string...

    Yonex R22 Appreciation Society.

I have 5 r-22 racquets, I use it mainly for mix doubles play... for some odd reason I think the racquet plays very well with the old prince syn gut 17g. I tried it with gosen and it's not the same. But real good racquets, I'm trying to get a 6th one just to have it. I play with my JK prostaff...

    3.5 to 4.0 Action Plan?

practice your return of serve, get a 4.0 and 4.5 to serve to you the way they would serve in a match, hit the return cross-court on a consistent basis and then try to take it down the line once you got cross court down pat. Next add height to your strokes, bomb it deep with depth... I've learned...

Fit difference between CB 3.3 & CB 4.3

If you loved the CB 2.3 then the 3.3 is not going to fit the bill, the 4.3 is closer to the 2.3 but still in the 3.3 "tight" while being a little wider... thats the key to wearing nike shoes, if you have narrow long feet then nike is your favorite tennis shoe, if you have wide feet then welcome...

    Head Graphite Edges

it all depends, I've seen graphite edges on the bay going for insane prices and most 80's head racs going anywhere from .99 to $1000+ crazy if you ask me but it all depends on what you want to play with, there are guys on these forms for example that love the old prestige, pre-prestige racs and...
