Maybe but it's way more predictable, how often does he go DTL?

Have to say, even I'm surprised by this.

  3. Some quite confident touch shots coming out from Nole, with his and Murray's current era patented dropshot lob combo's.

Nadal's movement is definitely compromised, especially moving forward, compared to prime...

Djokovic just took a breather and tried some new things in the last couple of games. Nothing to worry. He will take in in two.

Djokovic is just simply superior in baseline rallies which are both bread and butter. More variety, better techniques. Nothing Nadal do can hurt Djokovic consistently.

I sound hopeful and you're underestimating Rafa's power on clay. Watch and learn.

  8. That's right. And thus it's only an occasional weapon.

Nadal lost 6-2 at MC!!! Despite Nadal playing his best and moving his best since 2008.

  10. I really think the serve is vital. Nadal needs to start not allowing Nole so many returning chances.

It's not his movement, it's Djoker movement and game. He is dominating most of the rallies.

  19. Nadal is starting to control these rallies and Djokovic is doing most of the running even on serve.

I want to hear VAMOSDNA's excuse after the match. Hell, I want everyone in the Vamos brigade to come up with an excuse.

I smell a break. Nadal will take this set.

  29. A key difference in why Nole is the one being ran around; he is now refusing to hit his forehand up the line. This is an important detail which is changing the dynamic of the rallies. Novak has lost a little bit of his opening set bravery.

LOL I just started watching 5 mins ago. Nadal is running Dork all over the court and whooping his butt. Guess he felt like playing 3 sets today.

Doesn't matter if Nadal breaks, he's very breakable himself today.

Perhaps that's why he's NOT hitting the DTL FH, he isn't confident with it.

  40. That super sharp and flat angle seemed to forced Rafa into committing to a higher risk shot.

Looks like Nadal's knee is back to 100%. His movement his phenomenal today. But surprisingly still losing, what a testament to Djokovic's abilities.

    wrong.

Nadal's movement has been compromised since his return. even much lesser players have taken advantage of that with the dropshot...
