Forecast shows that it should be cloudy during match time. Rain ahead of match, and probably later. We'll see. Google weather.com and check out the hour by hour forecast. If that holds, good for Nadal, bad for Novak. It's supposed to be cloudy and cool....

3-2 over Cvac in the last 2 years. If he isn't untouchable, he's at least better than Djokovic. Every result proves this.

    W00t! Clash of the titans.

I'm pulling for Djokovic. It would be nice to seeone put an end to Nadal's reign of terror in Monte Carlo

but, I think Rafa will get it done in 3.

Someone will put an end to Rafa's reign of terror in MC, it's just a matter of whether it's this year or in the future....

That's true, but if you want some glory for defeating Nadal at MC, you better do it soon.

No one is going to give you a pat on the back if you finally defeat Nadal at MC when he is 33.

If you really can't wait, here's a preview.

"Djokovic played garbage, we both know if he played decent he would have laid a beatdown on Nadal.

This was a fluke and won't happen again, Djokovic to win Madrid, Rome and RG without dropping a set. He will also batter Nadal if Nadal makes it as far as him but I really doubt that. I don't see how he could beat Brian Baker the way he was playing.

Oh and I know I said Djokovic would win, but he would have if he had played well, so I was right. Told you so. He's so utterly unbeatable vs Nadal on clay and especially at MC and RG, where he's quite obviously the king."

Though I expect Djokovic to actually test Nadal this time round and I also think Djokovic could get him at one clay event this season, probably Madrid, but maybe Rome if Nadal is really playing all 3 masters and Barca. So don't get too cocky just yet..

Djokovic should have skipped MC and rest his ankle. This is like giving Nadal free confidence boost.

I don't understand the concept of the ignore system. People still indirectly reply to you or use references regardless if your blocked or not.

Anyways... Why is your post count stuck at 9,999?

Mainly agree, but I don't think it would be a huge upset at all. He is the number 1 player, and Rafa hasn't been playing very well. I don't know really how Novak has been playing, but Rafa hasn't looked too great IMO... I especially don't like that Rafa had so many troubles in his match against Tsonga, while Novak won so easily. It might well simply have been due to Tsonga's play, but I very much doubt it can be good for his confidence, while Novak's easy win would have helped his...

I've never thought anything was set in stone, unlike you. I picked Rafa to win though and still do. He's the favorite against anyone on clay, including Novak.

Is Clarky a mad old woman character with 30 cats? That is how I picture her. I need to use the "ignore" button too I think. Her posts are just wind up drivel.

I am psyched for this matchup. This is the best rivalry in tennis right now and what a treat we get to see another match in a big final between these two.

I bet she doesn't bat an eyelid.

And continues confidently predicting further losses through the clay season.:) I give her an A for persistence.

I don't understand this line. Nadal is the firm favorite. So Betonline says you have to put 240$ to win 100$. What does it mean? If you bet 240 dollars on Nadal winning, you will get only 100 back? Why would anyone place a bet on 240$, and then even if you win you get only 100$? Same the case with Bet365 and Bodog also

I think it means that you bet $240 and if Nadal wins you get back $340 (that is, a winnings of $100).

Like I said, Nadal doesn't like wet conditions, but he's so dominant on clay that he's still the favorite vs Djokovic and Federer based on the last 2 wet Roland Garros finals. BTW 2011 and 2012 RG were wet, in case you didn't see them.

I think Djokovic's problem is he hasn't had a decent opponent this week. He isn't ready for someone who can keep the ball in play. Whereas Dimi retrieved superbly and prepared Nadal perfectly for a lot of long rallies.

Kneeadal is definitely the favorite. But hoping that somehow Anklovic manages to crush the defense of *******. Would be interesting to see how both of them fare against 25 sec time rule. Get ready to witness a lot of warnings and penalties. Umpire would be busier than these 2.

    It's simple.

If Nadal wins, Clarky's train of thoughts:

-Jinxing works! I knew it! Man I'm good! Back to work, Rafa will be safe with me by his side, I'll make sure of it - logs on to TW - Cvac will win Madrid, Cvac will win Rome, Cvac will win FO, Cvac will win Wimbledon, Cvac...

    If Novak wins:

-Damn it, didn't jinx hard enough, need to up my intensity - logs on to TW - Cvac will sweep the rest of the CC season without dropping a set, Cvac will double bagel Rafa the next time they meet, Cvac will win CYGS in 2013 and 2014...

Gold. Somehow I never tire of reading Clarky's gems.

The secret meaning is of course that Cvac gets the beatdown of his life.

you can find them on the protennislive website (can't copy/paste)... good stats so i don't know what you're on about. he straight setted Tsonga and was solid even when Jo-Wilfred was going for broke and making aggressive shots.

    your point is?

+ his style of movement and shots.

'Scattered showers' around the Monte Carlo area is what the weather forecast shows. Let's see if this match can be played without interruptions.
