    I will start with #1.

My water heater in the garage started leaking today and began to flood the garage floor.

I called the plumber but he can't come out until tomorrow.

I can see where the water is dripping on the bottom of the water heater, but can't locate the source of the leak inside.

So I put a large bucket right beside the wooden platform/pedestal that the water heater sits on top of. Now I need something that would catch the water drops and send them down into the bucket.

Since I'm not much of a handyman, I came up with a temporary solution that any racquet junkie would have thought of:

    Use a pallet!

So I put some pieces of wood under one end of the pallet to tilt the pallet downward, and voilĂ ! My garage will be safe until tomorrow.

Now that pallet is a Head TK82S, perfect for this job.

But if the flow of water gets any heavier, then I would have to replace that with a Volkl pallet because it has a deeper groove.

So there you go. I invite you to submit other ways in which you have put your racquet handle pallets to good use. :)

Ahhh. The beloved tk82s. I had the pleasure of installing one an hour ago and am off for a 10pm match now.

Its good to know that my old tk82 can be useful around the house.

Is it bad that scotus's "invention" immediately makes me think of an ice luge?

Nothing wrong with that. That's a great winter sport.
