I'm looking for people's views on 18 x 19 patterns? Several of Head's racquets, notably the Instinct series use this pattern and I find the tie-off for the mains to be difficult. T8s and T10s are skipped and the tie-offs are in T9s. This means that the 7th main comes down to T7, then the 8th main skips T8, enters T9 and exits H9. Then the final 9th main enters H11 comes down to T11 and ties-off at H9. Because the 8th main skips a hole in the throat there is a pretty severe "s-bend" beginning the 8th main and then the 9th main tie-off enters the same 9th hole from the opposite direction. For me, it's the toughest thread-through that I ever have to do. I don't have this problem with 16x19 or 18x20 patterns.
