I have recently started using Poly strings, so this is all new and exciting to me.

    My question to you is:

Do you play till you break a string with Polys? ...or do you cut them out once they start to feel weird?

I used to play with Multifils for years and didn't have to guess as I would break one every 8 hours of play or so. But with Polys.... :-? For example I have my Solinco tour-bites 17s strung at 60lbs on for about 15 hours now. They basically feel nothing like they did the first few hours, but they are not dead, far from it. Lost some spin - yes, but that is due to the edges of the string being worn off.

I hit with a lot of verity but mainly lots of spin of FH and relatively flat BH.

    Thanks guys.

I always use polys until they break in my 18x20 racquets, which happens in about 13-16 hours aprox.

I tend to use them until they break. I like polys that play consistent just for this reason. There are a lot of polys that would not be playable until they break.
