Just did my first string job yesterday. Full syn gut after spending about 3 hours unsuccessfully trying to finish some Enduro Pro mains. I was having a lot of trouble with the finishing parnell knot. When I would loop the knot and start to tighten, the string would keep the size of the loop at a certain point making it very hard to make the loop smaller. If I tried to tighten by rocking back and forth, string would break. Was using a starting clamp to tighten and was stringing at 56 lbs. The Enduro Pro came with the machine and I was using it as practice. My regular setup is full BHBR. I'm afraid of wasting my precious BHBR. Syn gut was crazy easy compared to the poly. Any tips for tying off poly?

watch this video, he does a great job demonstrating his knots. i use the pro knot he shows in the beginning, easy to pull the slack out, while getting a nice, tight knot at the end.

Use the awl from the outside of the frame to lock in the tie off string. It makes it easier to tighten the first hitch so it doesn't slip back.
