Hi, my backhand is inconsistent because Im not sure whether to grip the racquet firmer with my left hand and let my right stay loose, or grip it firmer with my right hand and let my left hand stay loose. Which is the correct way? Are there any other tips?

You should grip it hard enough so that the racquet does not fall out of your hand. If you grip it too hard, what happens is that your whole arm muscles get tense and you won't get a smooth motion which will definately hurt your rallying speed.

Don't be ultra tight with either hand. I like to think of the 2hbh as a choked up lefty forehand.

Think of it as two hands becoming one hand...a la spice girls song. 2 become 1.
