Stringing a NXG MP which calls for one piece stringing. Doing a hybrid, so are there any "tricks" to get the string through the holes already occupied to start and finish the crosses?

I'm not having much luck, already broke a main trying to force through with an awl.

Suggestions to help out a neophyte?

If they're no shared holes in the NXG (I doubt there are, there shouldn't be in any modern racket), you shouldn't have to get near a main except to tie off the ends. What you gotta do is cut the end of the string sharp (slice it with a razor blade at an angle) and push it through from behind with needlenose pliers. Once the end of it pops out the other side, grab it with the pliers and pull as much as you need to tie the knot.

    Good luck
