it was really a one-of-a-kind match with both playing really bad during some time but i was really happy that roger won on his hometown. Now if only Real Madrid win...

As always thanks for the pics Mandy (and IronMan).

These wins are special and emotional, his last wins (hopefully not though), the autumn of Roger, The Autumn of the Patriarch, hehe.

We are fortunate to have lived in the times of Roger Federer !

He ain't going to catch Lendl's 94 or Connors' 109. He could catch McEnroe's 77, though.

Those tournament win records are for all purposes meaningless. There were a ton of micky mouse tournaments and often several at the same time. The top players could schedule around each other. There was a full on clay court season year round as well as a HC season. Connors has a great WL record but if you look at his results in GSs, though still great, come back down to earth.

Maybe the most meaningful things about this is it shows Connor's longevity.

I remember Fed said something to the ballboy at some critical juncture, smiled and then hit a winner on the next point. Wonder what that exchange was.

I'm in love with that trophy, like it more than Wimbly. So fancy. Very fitting of fancy classy Rogi.

    I know

I much prefer it to Rafa's trophy biting. He needs to switch back to the kissing. Ahh! Rogi gets hotter as the days go on.

Great pics of two very cute men. In one of the pizza photos there's a guy with a cell phone-I love that one: "hey everyone, I'm hanging with Federer!!!!!!"

Yeah. Poor, old, slow Roger with that weak one hand backhand, outdated equipment, and mental weakness. Poor guy. ;) BHBH

    Tanks for the link.

How did you know my native tongue was Nihongo. Nice to have those Jap commentators speak over Robbie Koenig and the swiss director.

Nice touch at the end -- Nole and Roger giving the medals ...

How arrogant of Fed to show off his cute kids....Were they present for the whole match or only for the trophy ceremony ?
Did Nole ask them to 'Be quiet' when they cried ? :)

I played it back and was able to read his lips. He said, "Watch this-I am going to hit a winner!!" ;) Best, BHBH

Lol at the Fed pic of him wanting to devour the pizza

Djoko was funny at the start of the presentation asking Fed how's it like to beat him. Not sure if it was Fed's sister sitting next to his mum during the match but the lady was pretty.
