Well, I did a 09 thread so I said I might aswell do one for 2010. Didnt see one already, apologies if there is.

    Aussie Open - Roger Federer
    Roland Garros - Rafael Nadal
    Wimbledon - Roger Federer
    US Open - Undecided

I think Roger will win Australia simply because he has stated that regaining the Australian Open is a big goal for him next season.

Aussie Open - Andy Murray (It's been a long time coming)
Roland Garros - Rafael Nadal (The king of clay will be back)
Wimbledon - Roger Federer (Fed will want his 7th one)
US Open - Novak Djokovic (Like in Murray's case, it's been a long time coming losing to Fed 3 years in a row, it's his time next year).

So roddick's gonna outlast both Rafael and Roger huh? Bold prediction indeed but a valid one nonetheless. If roddick manages to get through to another gRand slam final then he'll have to produ e tennis greater even that that of this year and I personally don't see roddick producing tennis any greater than that again

AO - Federer/Del potro/Roddick (Roddick's had great fortune in Australia and can stand the heat)
FO - Federer/Nadal (If Nadal is totally recovered)
W - Federer/Roddick (The two greatest grass court players of the last 10 years)
US - Federer/Roddick/Murray (Murray has to prove he can win a slam, and Roddick is going to want to avenge his early round loss from this year)

Lol you didn't pick anyone different! You just arranged Federer, Nadal, and Del Potro so that it looked different with a Joker card thrown in xP

Australian Open: Wouldn't it be amazing if Verdasco played like he did this year? But my prediction is Djokovic.

French Open: If Nadal shortens his schedule, I believe he can easily be back.

    Wimbledon: Federer

    US Open: Roddick

And Murray loses in the first round at each slam, while retaining status as "favorite", yet again, at each slam in 2011

    :)

    but, actually
    AO: Federer
    FO: Nadal
    W: Djokovic
    USO: Djokovic

    And so it was written...

Del Potro is unlikely to win 2 UOs in a row. He's good but has not shown any kind of consistency yet.

that would be good to see nadal reach 10 slams by september 2010, he would for sure be looking likely to overtake federer in total slams

Possible calendar slam? Come on man, be serious. Nadal is making it deep into tournaments on his worst surface. I wouldn't write him off. I still think RG is his to lose.

Just because I think Federer is a strong contender for all 4 slams next year does not mean I believe he will win the Grand Slam. He clearly isnt dominant enough anymore to have a real shot of doing that, however he also has a pretty good shot at each of the 4 slams IMO and could well win 2 or even 3 of them. Nadal could win the French, but I dont think you will see anything like 2008 ever again. As for Nadal's current results on his worst surface, yes he is reaching late rounds but he is being completely thumped by the first quality opponent playing well he runs into in them all the same. While he didnt always win on faster surfaces even at his career peak in 2008, that is still a far cry from then. Obviously that wouldnt happen on clay, but even on clay I dont see total dominance again considering he already looks to have lost something. I would also be surprised if Nadal wins any slam outside possibly the French next year.

Come on man, Monfils is a more than legitimate hard court player and it only took Nadal four sets to take him down.

it's interesting that people have murray and roddick winning a slam in 2010. i would love to see them do it, but imho, think that it's going to be federer and nadal who will be the only guys capable of winning the slams next year unless you have an upset like del porto.

At the moment I wouldnt say Nadal is one of the only two capable of winning next year, it's very possible he will get back to winning ways but he's had a few problems this year. Djokovic is playing well again, Roddick has shown he can't be written off just yet, Murray has the game to do it, del Potro has improved no end.. Nadal will need to pray his body holds up and get back to playing his best tennis again, it's getting tougher.

    Wimbledon: Nadal (7th Grand Slam)

What are Monfils's achievements on hard courts. 1 or 2 round of 16s in slams? No he is not a legitimate top hard court player. The only surface he is a semi top player is on clay.
