Can believe Murray's winning the poll  Must be Fed's horrid form.

Anw the court seems MUCH slower than last year, anyone else think so?

They are definitely slower. IIRC, I read somewhere that it was deliberately slowed down this year. Maybe someone out there decided that 6 times is enough for Fed and we need a new winner. Just like they did at the slams ;-)

Federer doesn't need to be in "horrid" form to lose to Murray, that is for sure. Murray is simply better these days.

Murray has won their last 2 meetings-

    London Olympics Gold Medal: 6-2, 6-1, 6-4
    Shanghai Masters Final: 6-4, 6-4

And even the Wimbledon final, Murray was 5-7 2nd set away from going up 2 sets to love, and you can understand why he may have been a bit nervous at his home slam.

Fairly obvious Murray will win most or all of their remaining career meetings.

This match is just a formality and the only point of interest is to find out if Murray wins in 2 or 3 :) I hope he wins in straights to conserve energy and make the final competitive.
Congrats to Murray for making his first WTF final. Djokovic must be cursing Delpo and his luck for not getting a virtual walkover in the form of old, worn , tired and out of form grandpa in his SF :D

Well, he *is* #1 seed for the event, the draw was made last Sunday, ie before the latest rankings were out.

Are you sure? The seedings were done as of Monday's rankings - WTF has a policy of not using last year's WTF points for qualification/seeding purposes.

That's what I thought. Yesterday when I was streaming, Fed was shown as the no. 2 seed as well.

^^ I thought the #1 seed's half plays their matches first. Since they started with Nole's half, assume Nole was seeded first and Fed second.

Murray in two. I can't see Fed hitting through Murrays defense on this court. He has to play a lot better to make this match competitive.

    Sexi on Andy yesterday:

"To me, he was always going to be a player who needed just a bit more time than let's say a (Rafael) Nadal or a Djokovic," said Federer, 31. "He's more in my category where he just needed more time to fill out (his) game.
"But when it's all really happening, I think it's a great package for Andy. Right now, I think he's playing great tennis. Obviously the last six months have been amazing for him. I expect him to be extremely tough in the semis."

Oh - and the commies yesterday were saying that the court has speeded up considerably since last weekend.

Federer seems to have taken a real liking for Murray of late. He seemed genuinely happy for Murray after the Olympic final when you'd normally expect him to be extremely disappointed (which he still probably was).

Yeah also he has an apparent weakness, when he likes a player he tends to lose to them most of the time, he needs to be aggressive.

For all the freakin Murray hype, he is EXPECTED to win against a 31 year old. It would have been notable if he won atleast one match at a major before Fed became 31. Instead it will always be a big hole in his career

I'm pretty sure that each time Murray failed to beat Federer in a grand slam final, millions of viewers noticed.

I'm sure of that too - but that wasn't the point that was made - that Murray apparently has 'a big hole' in bis career because he hasn't beaten Roger at a slam.

I couldn't give 2 fecks if he never beats Roger in slam - it only matters to people who want to look for reasons to denigrate Murray; to haterz.

I picked Murray in 3 as I hope Fed at least plays a good set and wins it. But to be honest now changed my mind to Murray in 2.

losing to Fed can never be a hole in your resume. Winning on the other hand can be the main thing on it.

Why do you think Fed fans favor Delpo more than Murray even though Fed lost a final he was within 2 points of victory.

Why do Fed fans prefer Novak over Murray (not you), even though he has lost 2 semis after 2 match points each .

Before this year, Murray was just like Wozniacki. This year he is much better to watch.

I am not angry, just stating the obvious that Murray did not have a major victory over Fed.

That's nonsense. There will always be a planet-sized hole in Roddick's career because he never figured out Federer.

Federer also seems to have taken a real liking to give interviews instead of practicing a bit, even after shanking matches away!!!

It's not a 'hole'. The hole is never winning wimbledon, despite being good enough. Not beating Federer matches the resume perfectly. He was always second best to the guy in their primes. It's like saying Joe Biden has a hole in his resume for not being president, or saying batman has a hole in his resume for not being able to fly. A hole in your resume is something that raises serious questions and frowns eyebrows, something which you have to defend yourself against, when you are being judged.

Murray should really win this match.

If murray sinks his teeth into the match, ******** will show up and murray will allow him to implode

the only small chance for federer, is if he comes out strong from start to finish. But it has been a long time since federer has done that, and i expect murray to get some looks and to be tougher at the end of the match.

Federer just doesnt have the confidence in his game to win a tight match right now.

No, you're not angry, you're either completely clueless about the game or trolling, my guess is the latter, either way you're full of it.

I do hope one day TW will find a more efficient way to deal with multiple accounts offense as it has gotten quite ridiculous lately.

The only guy Federer has lost to indoors this year was Del Po and that was his first loss z(Basel) on indoors Murray has been solid but it would be foolish to write Federer off here

I know Murray is going to win BUT He only has one set over federer on this court and in 2009 which was the opening set 6-3 after that Fed has won 4 sets against murray 6-3 6-1 6-4 6-2

That's crazy, man.. I would've put it on Djokovic way before Federer. Or if you are so sure of Federer winning you could've made a combo-bet on Federer winning and Djokovic winning because I was very sure about the second one.

But damn, that amount.. calm down. Really hope you win.
