Following today's pattern, I think it will be first. Which unfortunately means I can't watch.

Federer is like what 13-0 vs Ferrer?

I don't see Ferrer getting his first win here. Federer in 2. Maybe in 3 if ******** shows up.

As long as Ferrer can get more than 8 games....it would be a good watch.

I agree but if Fed plays the same way he did against tipsy he should win this in 2 sets (though both may get tight)!

Ferrer lies down everytime he plays Federer, even if on Planet TW it is Nadal who he has beaten 3 times in major events deluded TWers say he does that for, lol! Federer will win for sure, even if he plays at 10% of his level Ferrer would still find a way to lose in 2 or 3 sets.

Ferrer's game is a perfect fit for Fed. Not overly powerful, no sharp angles, just gets everything back, but right into Fed's sweetspot. Del Potro hates playing Ferrer because Ferrer gets everything back and waits for a Delpo error. Whereas Delpo can play first strike tennis against Fed, because Fed doesn't move as quickly as Ferrer. Either way, Fed has a large favorable winning percentage against both, especially on a court with a low bounce like this one.

Well, you never know. Davydenko had a terrible record as well but finally got his first win over Federer at the WTF. Don't forget that Ferrer is in superb form.

Having said that, if I were a betting man, I'd say Federer in 2.

Ferrer's legs will not help against Federer who charges the net frequently. And Ferrer is not exactly a passing shot sniper.

Don't get me wrong, I like Ferrer but Federer is just a bad matchup for Ferrer. I admire his work ethics and his footwork speed but I just don't see Ferrer beating Federer :p

After the whipped cream, here comes the jello. Ferrer sees Fed's face across the net and he gets paralyzed with awe. And another easy feast coming for Fed on his draw of cake binge. Watch for the sweetness overdose Fed

Maybe you are feeling overjoyed from your countryman Ferrer winning Paris Open.

Ferrer has played 3 straight weeks of tennis, this will be his 4th straight week.

Ferrer will be tired, Federer will not be.

Ferrer ain't beating Federer. Ferrer beating Del Potro or Del Potro beating Federer at Basel has no bearing on the whole thing.

What can Simon do to bother Fed that Ferrer can't do? They're quite similar in my mind

Simon has some power on the forehand than he can unleash from time to time, Ferrer doesn't.

I think ferrer will play some inspired tennis from his recent victories. Whilst I still think this is on federers racquet, I wouldn't count it out as being a good game.

For those who can't see it live, I'd suggest using tennistv.com.

I think this will be as good, if not better than the murray djoko match.

Don't you think Ferrer will be exhausted after 3 weeks soon to be 4 weeks straight of tennis with his grinding chase down style of tennis?

Fed facing his favorite pegion. He should be tired of beating this guy again & again.

Ferrer on the contrary just doesn't have the game to counter the tricks that Fed unloads each time they meet.

I just love seeing fed beat this guy every time they meet. Ferrer simply doesn't have any tool to counter Fed.

    Fed in 2 easy sets!

Real test for fed comes from Murray or Joker in Semis

No, Ferrer is never tired but that is not the issue. Fed owns Ferrer and I doubt that will change in a WTF match in a tournament which Fed has owned. If Ferrer wins it means that Federer was really really really off his game.

Ferrer is quietly having a career season, (7-1 in finals) but the big four and the rest of the field are two completely different worlds.

The guy is a beast. Whether he is actually feeling tired or not you would never know it because he never complains and whines like most of the other players. He just does what he is paid to do and goes out there and fights.

Ferrer's the little prizefighter who wins just about every match by decision. No weapons, no knockout punch. Just in better shape than everyone else outside the top 3(He flat beat Murray to death, physically, in RG), and punches and counterpunches till you can't take it anymore.

Roger has never lost to David. Still I don't know why, I don't feel very comfortable these days when anticipating for matches that he plays.

This is one of my fave tournaments and badly love to see him win this a seventh time...

I hope Roger wins in two

Have you made even a single post about the WTF without complaining about Fed's cake draw ? Didn't see you complaining about Rafa's cake draw which helped him make the finals in 2010. Old man Roddick , Djoker 1.0 playing blind without his contact lenses, and Rafa's pigeon Berdych. What do you call such a draw ?

She predicted in the Murray Tsonga match thread that Murray is gonna sweep Tsonga aside, and I believed that it was a group of death after reading all those posts of veroniquem
