Call him out. That's what fried me. He flat out said... "I'm glad he's leaving socal".

The kid is a great player, with a monster game. Done, end of conversation. Look at my first post in this thread. I gave the tourney to Krueger, Novikov or Redlicki. Novikov got the job done.

How do you know he got turned away by other due to "grade/lack of"? Did you speak to the colleges he was looking at or with him? Im pretty sure he will return for another year at UCLA, as he is smart and knows just being in the Open doesn't warrant going pro.

It gets old reading this question over and over on the board. It's not so much the question itself, it's the kindergarten tone in which the question is often posed.

You have repeatedly bragged about the results that were accomplished under your guidance. Bragging is self-promotion. There is example 1 for you.

Maybe we should apply this thinking to all of life. If I hear that someone stole jewelry from his grandmother and pawned it for some cash, I should not be critical of these actions. He either gets caught by the police or not. Let them deal with it. Not up to me to say what is right or wrong.

Aside from the tone this thread has, from what I saw, I will say otherwise to this (I'm just using your thread SoCal for the wording so I don't have to write it out myself). Novikov just isn't consistent enough yet to contend at the pro level and I saw too many times where Novikov expected his hard shots to be unreturned and they were returned leading to frustration and slopping footwork resulting in balls dumped in the net or hit long or wide. That's not to say he can't compete at that level eventually but I think Isner put it best when he's gone on record as saying he needed college before joining the tour.
