added baylor. no idea how would look like, so it was a total guess.
Mate Zsiga of Hungary has the most impressive junior record. He and Lars Behlen signed in November. I had not heard of Marko Krickovic until I saw your posting. He signed just yesterday.
It is hard to project where the Germans will play. Baylor has had some top-notch Germans and some who never rose from the #5/#6 part of the lineup.
added tennessee. lose 3 starters and 2 others may be on their way out.
Even if those two are staying that does not look like a strong team. Jones at 3 and Chaplin at 4 is pretty weak
looks like steve johnson is coming back for four
He's playing future's this week anyone think he will take it..
added kentucky and year end rankings as well as top doubles teams
I don't think he is ready yet for the pros. He is just too slow and needs to work on speed and movement
added pepperdine. postseason ban gone, deep team coming back, several solid doubles teams
A Kentucky note: Grant Roberts played some this year, so he is not a redshirt freshman next year.
Even if he didn't play dual matches?
Perhaps someone who knows the NCAA regulations can comment on this. Not sure.
took kosakowski out of lineup for ucla as a result of the news that he is turning pro
It's been rumored that Johnny Wang who committed to Carnegie Mellon might go to USC, but has not yet been confirmed. I have also heard they are getting Emilio Gomez's cousin in the fall of 2012.
Yea,, UCLA NOT looking good anymore for next year.....LOL...It will be Stanford's turn to Kick some Butt.............in 2012
man I was looking forwards to crosstown rivalry USC vs. UCLA this coming year.. too bad .. Standford lost 2 seniors who's gonna fill in those spots?? Thacher better step it up also Lin .. their my SoCal boys..
Daniel Ho will start to play like Marty Fish and Jamin Ball will start to play like Marin Cilic so come next year,,,,,things are looking good,,,,indeed......
I like see Kandath play like the top recruit he was, Jamin's got a good game but Ho looks good but he's like fish out of water in this league, he'll contribute in doubles ..
Kandath will start to play like Jan michael Gambill pretty soon. you will see.
If J.Wang goes to USC ,west coast will have 4 premier player doing two hands both sides.. Kandath,Dome,Novelo,Wang.. I would love to see them battle at one place..
Who is this Wang dude ?? is he any good ? Would he become the 1st chinese Man to win a Grand slam tournament in ATP if he goes pro ?
I think UCLA should still be pretty good next year. Giron has the potential to be way better than Kosakowski. Meister has great experience playing in the top of the lineup and should be a much better fit at #2. With having Puget and Thompson loading the middle, you have some great depth. Losing Seguso is probably a blessing. They can definitely still battle with USC next year. I wish I could attend those matches.
who are you talking about here?
Tabatruong will be fighting for the number 1 spot with kosakowski gone
J.Wang ,another SoCal kid.. 2 years ago he was hot, took Lin to 3 sets ,being 2 years younger, has beaten M.Giron and has some nice wins, but again,he has some real ugly losses, he sort of disappeared the last 2 years.. if he can get his **** together ,he's a player to watch.. I'm looking for Peter Smith to do some USC magic with this kid, like he did with D.Win and Steve Johnson.
fell off since 16 .. cold weather is too cold.. lol.. I'm happy to see a bunch of our SoCal boys staying close to home ,they're either advancely smart or really spoiled ,you choose .. tennis is meant to be played outdoors ..
Was this intended as a joke?
Taba got Owned by Greg Hirshman last year. Not sure if that is a good resume for #1 spot ??
caught a bit of UCLA vs. USC prelude yesterday.. Dennis Mkrtchian vs. J.Wang.. fun to watch ,DM won 7-6 ,6-3.. good battle .. JW had 2 set point to break but couldn't convert.. DM is looking real good.. he still has potential to be the best(even better than Koz,and Giron)from recent years UCLA.. maybe pro level if he can straighten out his head..
OP, what does the number mean next to each players names?
Final ITA computer rankings from the end of the season.
You can see next years doubles champs from UT playing together in Aptos.
UTK, ha ha ha ha!
He is definately going to be a great college player, but he has almost no chance of going pro. His backhand is very shaky and his serve isnt big enough. Great forehand tho.
Rhyne Williams says he is leaning towards going pro.
The Ohio State University will be the 2012 National Champs led by Blaz and Chase
Chase is a choke and crybaby ,he will never lead a team anywhere.. look for someone else to be the leader..
his serve and backhand will get better.. his court coverage is going to be awesome for a 6 footer plus ,if he went to USC he will be the next pro out of SoCal.. after Steve Johnson...
rhyne williams turned pro. changed tennessee lineup.
Junior Ore looks good and we'll see now that he got a wild card into Kalamazoo. Jacob Szabo actually is a serve and volley Australian and should be fun to watch. Incoming Jeremy efferling just lost in the quarterfinals of the 18's claycourt. They're all young and haven't fully matured, so they may surprise some people. But losing Krajeck and Dadamo is going to leave a hole unless Bautista and some of the others keep improving.
Jack Sock will not be appearing in any 2012 NCAA matches. Turned pro today.
How is Texas Longhorns looking next year? I think they were hoping Jack Sock would go to Texas, but without him, did they pick up anyone good to replace their senior class (plus the hole from the previous senior class which they didn't seem to replace well).
Georgia all the way. have high hopes for pasha.
I would have put money down that Sock was headed to Nebraska but now we will all never know! Hoping the Huskers have a good year but by no means a contender for the title. Should be interesting in the Big 10 now, Ohio State sure seems loaded and ready to play...
With the loss of Steve Johnson, Stanford will be favored to win it all next year.
Surprised you would make this prediction again.
