Yeah I'm not sure what's going with it. At first it was 5, then 5:30, then 6, now 6:30. Must be a lot of backroom dealings going on...the school that's going to get hosed as a host has probably been tipped off and is laying into someone about it. I thought last year it was on ESPN News.

Official word is that severe storms in Indianapolis pushed the times back.

So looks like all the 16 seeds on the women's side are hosting rounds 1-2. Maybe it will hold that way for the men as well.

Kind of odd that at Stanford, there will be 2 CA teams, one from NY and one from CT. doesn't really do much for NCAA's travel philosophies.

interesting women's bracket - basically the title match will be:

PAC12 (Stanford, UCLA, Cal, or USC) vs ACC/SEC (Duke, UNC, UVA, Miami, UF, or UGA)

    interesting draw for Stanford

will they get by Texas in the regional?

if so, can they repeat a victory over UK?

i actually like the men's draw a lot if i put my Duke bias aside, looks very balanced throughout

obviously i don't like that they weren't able to avoid the dreaded 8-9 seed and looming match with USC...but oh well, good shot at the quarters and just maybe they'll beat USC for the third straight season - this time when it really counts!

I'm glad that the NCAA did it this way this year. One less thing to draw attention to.

I was with you though. I was thinking that Cal or Pepperdine might get screwed on hosting. Mainly because I wasn't sure if Cal was going to stay in the top 16, and Malibu not being the easiest location to travel to.

Pretty tough road for Georgia to get to finals: FSU, UNC, Pepperdine/Oklahoma winner, UVA/Kentucky winer. I think we'll take care of business at the bottom of the lineup against Pepperdine or Oklahoma. UVA/Kentucky winner will be extremely tough.

as much as i don't believe UGA is a title contender, i think they have way too much depth to be truly challenged by UNC or Pepperdine - both good matchups for 'the pit'

OU might be interesting if that matchup happens

and yes, obviously the road gets real tricky against UVA if they don't falter against UK

    Attractive 1st Round Matches

Texas A&M/South Carolina - A&M has the stronger top of the lineup by far
Notre Dame/Vanderbilt - ND should win but Vandy is capable of the upset
Harvard/Virginia Tech - interesting to see how the Ivy league champ fairs against a mid to lower level ACC team
San Diego/Fresno State - USD probably wins
Indiana/Louisville - Louisville beat them in the regular season
Washington/North Carolina State - Washington struggled down the stretch
    Tulsa/Minnesota
Florida State/Boise State - FSU probably handles the heat better in Athens

Harvard actually has already played and beat VT 4-3. Different match ups though and I think that match was indoors. I think Florida got a great regional

Illinois is hosting so no complaints. Auburn is going to be tough in the 2nd round. And if we get thru that then we get to play USC. Oh goodie. I wouldn't mind seeing a Johnson-Nevolo matchup though.

    Go Illini!

Fairleigh Dickinson going to Virginia for the men and women. I'm assuming they put in a request to go to the same site as they have the same coach, from what I understand.

I never thought I would say this but excellent bracket. It puts more importance on ranking rather than geography which is good. Too many teams in the past have been screwed because of where they are located in the nation. Auburn goes to Illinois rather than Georgia or Mississippi State.

Lots of good matchups and none of the tired conference matchups like we have seen in years past. Some fresh unpredictable ones coming up.

I actually think A&M is more of a deep team. I favor A&M in that matchup but could get interesting if SC wins doubles.

I would not overlook Santa Clara in that Texas match. Texas lost to USD and Santa Clara split with USD this year. It could be a tight one. Stanford should win the regional pretty easy though. I am hoping for a Stanford vs Santa Clara Final. Go NorCal

Mississippi State got a tough draw with a resurgent Baylor in their region.

Texas is certainly capable of beating Stanford.

It's because they chose to have a ridiculous amount of players. A&M would go undefeated if dual matches played 15 singles matches.
