In the 2007 NCAA Tournament Illinois #6, Billy Heiser, served underhand most of the tournament due to a shoulder issue. I remember his match with Jamie Hunt in the Finals at #6 - it was in a 3rd set when Georgia clinched.

I can focus on this now after the insanity of Man City winning the EPL.

I expect there to be one big upset today. From where though?

Ohio State/Notre Dame match headed indoors - start time pushed back to 1pm est. With it being played indoors we should be able to see OSU's Video Stream @ OSU Video

They've had those ads in all season. Hopefully next week it won't do it.

Virginia takes dubs point over VCU and is out to a quick start in singles already taking 3 1st sets and up a break in the other 3. This one will probably be over in less than 45 minutes.

North Carolina up 2 breaks on court 1 & 2 so it looks like UNC will take the dubs point over Tennessee

Now in a rain delay in Chapel Hill. I believe it's raining in Athens so UGA/FSU will probably head indoors. Been raining for the last day here in Nashville so it must be all over the east coast.

Georgia/FSU playing indoors today so there will be no webcam coverage. Match will probably start in the next few minutes -UGA has a live Chat running though.

That is unfortunate. are you going out there ? maybe you can make few video tape of the event. Canon Rebel eos or Pilot Pen would probably work.

Rain has been the story so far today:

    Ohio State/Notre Dame playing indoors
    UGA/FSU playing indoors
Ole Miss/Michigan in a rain delay
UNC/Tennessee have been in a rain delay for almost an hour
    Duke/LSU in a rain delay

FSU takes dubs point over Georgia 8-4 4-8 8-3. Not a good start for my Dawgs.
Florida/Harvard dubs point comes down to #2 dubs. Harvard won at 1 and Florida at 3. #2 tied at 7.

UPDATE: Gators pull it out 9-7 at #2 doubles to take the point.

FSU takes the dubs point over Georgia. Impressive...........is this women's or men's? JK, ha ha. Pulling for the dawgs.

How about Baylor taking down Miss St.? Not sure if that makes my Memphis Tiger's 4-2 loss to BU hurt more or less. Lost two 3 setters and down in the third in another.

Memphis is returning their top 5, 3 juniors and two freshman. Their number 8 guy has ATP points in dubs and they have a redshirt Freshman who is very good. They should be even better in 2012-13.

Notre Dame hanging tough with Ohio State but Buckeyes will probably still win 4-0. Ohio State won doubles point.

    Buchanan wins 6-3 6-2
    Rola up 7-5 3-1
    Kobe up 6-4 0-2
    Van Engelen up 6-4 5-1
    McCarthy down 2-6 4-5
    Smith down 6-7

message sent in dubs by Duke

three breaks at #3 to take it 8-2
two breaks at #2 to take it 8-4
    up a break at #1 - dnf

LSU would have to win at least two of 1-3 to make this a match I think, Duke should win a couple of the lower spots

having multiple rain delays at sites that have indoor courts (like is happening in durham right now, third rain delay at start of singles) seems totally idiotic to me

fine, one or two sprinkles that you can get back out there quickly, go for it

but at some point the match is more disrupted by stops and starts than it is by the change of location (which at duke is all of 100 yards)

Georgia with 3 quick 1st sets: Singh 6-1, Doumbia 6-0, and Taboada 6-4. Spencer serving down 2-5. Only 4 matches on since they are playing indoors.

Same goes for UNC/Tennessee match. They've been in a rain delay for 2 hours - were warming up indoors and now are headed back outdoors. It'd make sense to just take it indoors and get it in.

lock will have to take that one to keep FSU's hopes alive

clearly FSU can't win at both 5 and 6, but maybe one of those spots if there's a lot on the line when they take the court and those young guys for UGA get nervous

Stanford doubles point isn't looking good at the moment. These broncos are playing really pumped up. I suspect they can't keep it up in single though.

Santa Clara took #1 8-6, are up 7-6 at #2, and #3 is 8-8 in a tiebreak. Sounds like a rowdy crowd on The Farm

Nice rip by Klahn there on match point - I thought he overstepped his boundary when he came across to hit the previous shot

Little confused here. Stanford takes the lead and wins the doubles point.
#2 doubles, on match point, Bronco calls a ball that looked like out on the baseline In and goes on to lose the point and the match. but on previous point at deuce, Stanford player looks like he made a bad call on their baseline to take it to match point.
I thought for sure, santa clara would call that ball Out on the baseline on match point. and the Coach seem to be very upset that they didn't also. Santa clara coach was yelling that they should have called that one Out.

great singles play by both UGA and UNC - that might be an interesting matchup if UNC can take dubs, though i'm still not sure they could win with that point in hand under the lights in Athens

Santa Clara with 1st sets at 2, 3, & 4. Stanford with 1st sets at 1, 5, & 6. That doubles point could be big.

and this is why messing around with all these rain delays is so stupid - unc headed inside to finish now - i can only assume the same for duke as the scoreboard has stopped progressing

if the match is going to end up being largely indoors, why not finish three hours earlier???
